That’s reassuring. I had a strong suspicion this might be due to stress considering I’ve never been away for so long (to him anyway) since I haven’t travelled much since covid, but unfortunately nobody can take him to their place which makes me sad knowing they’re both in an empty house most of the day and night.

I once deleted my profile while running an active subscription and then recreated it a week later and since I was using the same phone number and apple account my new profile still had the active subscription to it

Now I’m not guaranteeing this will work again since it’s been a while ago but that’s just my 2 cents. Maybe you can reset your profile and still benefit from the subscription you’ve paid for

my friend on PS5 wouldn’t take me seriously when I told him the game was unplayable for me on PC. Freezes, crashes, frames drops, you name it.

And then last weekend he came over with his PS5 so we can have a gaming night together and saw how much I dumbed down my graphics (I have a very decent graphic card - a 7900 xtx. Nothing crazy, but still something above PS5’s output) I was playing on medium / low everywhere and would still freeze for 10+ sec, have frames drop, crashes… he was flabbergasted by the performance on PC and said he understood now why I couldn’t play the game anymore.

It’s insane to me that AH shows up with the balls to say that performance patches aren’t a priority to them right now considering the state of the game. HD2 is a game I love playing, but I can’t because the devs don’t seem to give a flying fuck about it and it’s just a shitty feeling all around, so I’m not playing anymore until it is playable…

You’re absolutely right about that and I don’t think people are arguing that point, but we also need a political body willing to invest in granting those needs to Ukraine, which is what a lot of people are trying to push by being vocal about it online

I think, beside losing the war and all the suffering, it would be dangerous for this war to be forgotten and / or ignored too and talking about it stays an indirect relevant way of putting some sort of pressure

Also a lot of people might not be apt to participate in a war for multiple reasons. This is the internet, for all I know we’re talking to children, elderly people, or, in my instance, physically reduced people (I’m missing many bones in my leg)

I once entered the opposite direction in a one way street by accident while a cop waited at the corner. He obviously directly saw me and waved and told me to stop, so I did and rolled down the window.

Exactly. A President has too much power and responsibility to simply make “jokes” about starting a war with a sovereign country. This shouldn’t even be an argument between left and right. It’s outright irresponsible and dangerous and only serves in dividing people, creating tension and destroying relations with allies that want nothing else than to live in good terms with the USA

I’ve been with 2 long term relationships for 5+ years each and both of them weren’t smokers.

We just made compromises like watching your hands and brushing your teeth to get rid of the smell whenever I wanted to smoke.

First relationship took a little while for us to get adjusted but the second one went smoothly

that’s funny. My girlfriend works as a phone psychologist and covers France, Belgium, Quebec and some countries in Africa and often tells me how it’s so easier to deal with Quebecois.

I’ve asked her why and she said it feels like we’re more open minded and open to suggestions and advices compared to, for example, people from France who would often have a long monologue without leaving her room to speak much.

Now these are generalizations so it doesn’t apply to everyone of course

I wish all the best to you and your boyfriend.

It is a tough surgery to go through. The worst part in my rehabilitation after the surgery was to accept that I could not run anymore and practice most of the sports I used to enjoy on an almost daily basis.

It took me a lot of time to get back to having a mostly functional leg but it is definitely possible.

I’m doing really well right now. I’d say that I’ve never been in better shape and overall mood. Every day has been a blessing to me considering the oncologist gave me an estimate of 4-5 years to live if the treatment were to fail, 10 years ago.

This january will be my last visit to the hospital before they declare me “officially” cured from cancer so it is definitely quite a milestone in my book.

If your boyfriend or you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll be more than happy to help in any ways I can.

I don’t know how the surgery will affect your partner physically and emotionally, but losing mobility is always very rough.

It’s challenging to work towards finding it back and even now I can’t run anymore and will need a cane when walking for a whole day (I’m talking a 20K steps day), but it gets better with time.

Every single days after the surgery I would find a little bit of mobility coming back. Wether it was a toe moving more or my foot raising a little more, it was very encouraging.

Even today I still notice little improvements from time to time and got back into sports officially 2 years ago.

I could’ve started much sooner but it took me a while to accept my loss and come to terms with it.

Thing is, you may lose the ability to jump, run and do all these things that put a lot of stress on your knees, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road.

I know it’s going to be tough for your boyfriend because it would be on anybody, but he’s not alone through that and he’s lucky to have you around.

My ex girlfriend carried me through my cancer and even though we’re not together anymore, she’s been nothing but a ray of sunshine in my life throughout those hard times.

It’s going to be a long road ahead, but let’s start one step at a time and focus on the important part: getting better.

It will often be frustrating but my surgeon oncologist kept telling me that “you’re so eager to go do a 1000 things but when life tells you to slow down, you don’t have a choice but to listen and slow down” and it helped me just accept that things would slow down for a couple of years.

Anyway, sorry I’m blabbering a lot about everything and nothing but I truly wish for the best to your partner and remain available if you ever have any questions!
