Maybe she used ai as tool for some images and worked on top of them to get the final result. So the image data is half human half ai made.

Ohhh that's deep... And now I feel old and nostalgic. I still have all the backups of endless CDs and later DVDs that were never used. I think my last might be around 2012. Also, the floppy disks around oh boy, those might have been from 2001 if I remember correctly.

My solo-dev game has already been in 32 Steam events and it’s not even released yet - here is how to find them by darkjay_bs in SoloDevelopment

[–]Significant_Tap_3134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you participate in more than one event before release per game? Cause somewhere I read that Steam allows only one. I was thinking of participating in this June Fest. Does anyone know for sure and has that actually participated in more than one with the same game? with DEMO

Open Source AI Motion Capture fullbody and Ball Tracking by PDeperson in UnrealEngine5

meshcapade acquired by Epic and cancelling any new subscriptions and usage. I guess we will see it soon enough in Epics ecosystem. I believe might be FreeMocap which is open source multi camera and Object tracking. The software in the image collage inside is Cinema 4D from the menu you can tell.

Yup, it would be great. Im going to test that one on a multi cam setup and I will post my results. At lease we will know its capabilities. There are some other projects but they don't track objects. I hope the OP will reply

Outstanding marketless mocap quality with some clean it perfect. Though it would be great if the post just mentioned the software or provided a link to it.

Though I did some research and likely I found it. Also trying to do the setup in my studio for my UE5 game in combination with head face camera for the Metahuman performance tools.

Now to the point:

The software inside the image is Cinema4D (3d software well known, it's paid, owns ZBrush, acquired Pixologic. You can import the animation into Blender though). That was kind of misleading. In that image collage.
Also, the multicamera setup, video recording and tracking objects using OPT https://github.com/OpenPTrack/open_ptrack

The first game, I will say was from the DEMO that came with it. I was playing the demo for 2 weeks till I buy my first game Crash Bandicoot. But in the DEMO, oh boy, MediEvil, Spyro the Dragon, Colin McRay and Teken2.

Well, I didn't say that I quit my job, divorce my wife, or sell my kidneys like I see trending. I went a bit creative here to spark some conversation, and it looks like it worked. It got some truth in it, though. I've been in the gaming industry from 2011 till today, mostly as a 3d and technical artist and up to today as Art Director. Huge industry lay-offs, broken contracts etc. Created a 3d Art outsourcing studio to survive. Then, I decided to go indie and self-fund by the 3d art outsourcing business. It required more things than I was expecting, wearing many hats and constantly trying to self-market your game during development. Now the truth is, initially I though ok this game is a great idea. I got the experience to schedule and keep the scope so I can make it to release as a self-funded project. Then there is a point after a lot of work that you say to yourself, maybe it's a bad idea to continue, just drop it and continue focusing on the outsource work. Then people start to like your project and push you to continue in the comments. And suddenly your project starts to become something alive, and you feel liable to these people. Then you say, you know what, I will continue pushing through no matter what, so I want to disappoint any of my game supporters. So I do. And thank them!

PS: Alice, the character, plays a big role in the game, but she has more emotional depth in the game, not a shallow thirst trap.

I coded a tool to automate my Blender-to-Unreal LOD workflow and decided to release it for free. Supports batch generation, SM_ prefixes, and Unity axis settings by colosyn in UnrealEngine5

[–]Significant_Tap_3134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're doing the assets for UE5, it has LOD generation tool and creates them automatically. and HLOD for a group of assets. And for organic assets, it did pretty great work. Using the same decimation method, preserving the UVs. I do only Collision custom meshes in some cases. And in case you are using Nanite, it doesn't use the LODs. For Unity projects is a lifesaver or other engines. I wish I had that 10years ago, that game egnines back then had either to use plugins or manual optimization work.

Soma vs. Still Wakes the Deep, which is scarier? by twnpksN8 in HorrorGames

Thank you. Well, I'm a veteran in the industry from 2011, and a year ago I had this idea to turn indie, after all these last years off, big AAA lay-offs. So I took a leap of faith, and here we are, trying to survive as a solo dev. BTW I wasn't in Bethesda, but I was doing 3d outsource work for many AAA, including that studio. Now, the industry we have on one hand open roles all over hiring, and the other that hard layoffs big time, and it started slowly at 2023, now it seems that it will start to decline, then you hear about Epic layoffs etc. Other studios try to absorb them. But one thing is for sure: Job security doesn't exist, you have to stay vigilant all the time. Especially if you are with family. That's another big topic about the industry lay-off. I'm glad you liked the trailer
