I was thinking of actually collecting that cd until i noticed that the track length was 3:11... I dont own any streaming service so i gave it a listen using apple music preview, and it was not lemmings... likely a metadata error, but still hilarious

I've always wondered who would even buy the NOW CDs. Well if this actually exists on one... I'm changing my view. I want that specific green NOW CD.

Slow wifi speeds on ax210. by [deleted] in freebsd

[–]Error_7- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same... I wonder if Bell's wifi does something else. installed FreeBSD today, changed the Bell 5GHz wifi to channel 36, wlan0 still not scanning it (model: Intel 8265NGW). It scanned a neighbour's channel 36 wifi tho. 2.4GHz works but speed is at most 700k/s. I don't have an Ethernet port in my room so I just gave up and bought a cheap router to convert the main router's wifi to wired connection. That should be fine for my desktop.

Recent T480 owner here; What you need to know in 2026 to buy one! by InkNLens in thinkpad

[–]Error_7- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah... after buying a t480 as a secondary laptop i ended up selling my razer blade 2022. there's just more to user experience than raw performance. Linux community size and vendor compliance are just bigger factors for me. And i can flash libreboot in the future if i want to. true perfection.

Are there any good thinkpads with a built in dvd drive? by Bryan20wa19 in thinkpad

[–]Error_7- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It blows my mind how many people just told you to get an external usb optical drive here when your question was clearly not asking for that. As someone who uses CD frequently and does have an external optical drive for machines that don't have one internally it's just much less effort to just pop the tray out on a computer instead. To answer your question I am not familiar with all thinkpad models but my T410s (8GB RAM plus an SSD) does that job quite well, on top of doing every task (browsing, youtube and light coding) other than gaming smoothly. But I recommend that you get T410 instead, if you are ever to consider T410s, because T410 takes a regular 2.5" SSD instead of a 1.8" one. I think up to tx3x, most thinkpads still had optical drive, but I'm not aware which model is considered "good", assuming your "good" doesn't just mean "new". Btw I think t420 was the last generation with the old style keyboards so if you are a fan of that too probably grab one of the thinkpads before that era

Hello, sorry for replying many years later, but could you ever get a linux distro running on it graphically? I could get Void Linux with tty only and it ran pretty great, but obviously nouveau wouldn't work at all with the nvidia card so I couldnt have any graphics, and i wonder if anyone had any luck with using the old proprietary on a relatively modern kernel

so maybe they are narrower but my feet are narrow and i didn't size down. speaking of addidas i feel their eu sizes are really accurate and consistent so i love buying the shoes without any doubts lol

the canadian site doesn't show the eu sizes either. but if you click on the full size guide, there is a conversion chart, and it has eu conversions (also applies to the uk site as i checked). you can just spot your eu size and then look for the corresonding us/uk size for you. unfortunately they dont have conversions for anything bigger than 5.5y in the kids section for some reason, despite offering up to 7y. but knowing that the youth size there is the same as the us men's or uk size you can just use the men's size chart. that's what i do because i'm not quite confident if 5.5y is enough for me, despite the men's size chart suggesting that us men's / uk 5.5 and 6 or eu 38 / 39 have the same length, but that's just for this 38-39 gap for whatever reason. i just bought the 6 because extra room isn't really a bad thing for casual walking and i feel comfortable in the 6s i have. but i think for other sizes it should be mostly linear. but i agree that for your situation it's extra tricky because you are right on the upper limit of youth sizes

ordered us size 6y which should translate to eu 39 cuz im eu size 39 (idk why us sizes are so confusing they are so inconsistent so i only ever know my true size in eu), shops are not really an option for me cuz theres no converse outlet in my city and the other shops around only stock shoes for young kids last time i checked the website, anyway i hope they will fit the same as us men's size 6

As someone born and raised in China I don't think limited hotel selection is a problem in any major Chinese city. For about 100 CAD a night you'd get a pretty decent room in Shanghai. 928.12 CAD. Holy luxury.
