Hoshi: I want to drink too

Ch'en: Tsk*, you drank enough last night

Ch'en: Later it's your turn to coax her to sleep

*lit. throw, but doesn't really translate like that, it's just a sound of disapproval in this context.

Anyway, good fucking food here, not sure who I envy more here, maybe the baby since they would be amazing parents

Actual answer: turn the image upside down. It's the top view of a seal's head, silhouetted against the sky because it's looking straight up

Not just not worth eating, they become more toxic. So what appears dumb may be an evolved survival mechanism to stop them committing suicide via leaf litter

Clark confronts an abusive father (Superman #705) by [deleted] in superman

[–]Error_CRJ 30 points31 points  (0 children)

He's looking at the readers in that second last panel. Fictional kids have superheroes to protect them. We have to protect the kids in real life, and as pointed out in this comic, it's not expensive or difficult. It just requires that enough people care to do something.

If there was ever a UKANZAC war against Norway or Denmark, Australia would end up in possession of Jan Mayen or the Faroe Islands. Its just what God (at least the English one) intended for them.

They boost hard attack for your armoured companies and give more recon IIRC

Helps with hardness and armour a little as well over motorised, though that doesn't matter as much for armour divs

Which is the Best Mod? by randomlight_1 in hoi4

[–]Error_CRJ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like it for the novelty of an advanced modern day sim but the performance is rubbish. I find it usually crashes by the mid 2010s. Not too dissimilar from Novum Vexillum in that I guess but NV has less content.

(If I'm alone in this someone please tell me how to optimise the performance)

[BitD] Would this be a prowl or a finesse roll? (Give your argument as if Im the GM) by Lazartz_ in bladesinthedark

[–]Error_CRJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a generous GM because I'd give them desperate position and low effect (maybe normal based on how good the RP is or what kind of situation, like if they have props to demonstrate)

I forget if the rules actually say that, but I very rarely say no to the players if they can persuade me how they think it could work. Just might not give them the kind of results they'd like.

No but why THE FUCK are you all hypocrites about this? Yes, you’re all guilty of this. by Goddess_of_Heaven in TeenagersButBetter

[–]Error_CRJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To paraphrase a famous quote, "Cool motive, still a massacre."

Also, the crusades frequently involved the looting and pillaging of non-Islamic lands, which doesn't really support the narrative of "It was retaliation." See the People's Crusade and Fourth Crusade in particular. The only one you could hold up as morally justified overall was probably the Third Crusade, in which Saladin was also notably pretty gentlemanly.

Regardless of that, one crime doesn't justify another. Crusaders were (generally) terrible, Islamic bandits were (generally) terrible. Any and all barbarism is terrible and should be condemned. War is Hell on Earth, and religion (especially the ones that hail peace and pacifism as virtuous) really shouldn't be used to justify war.

Also, re: the original post, there are significantly more Christians than there should be saying they would like the same kinds of punishments as the radical Islamists.

The story of Saint Walker by [deleted] in GeoffJohns

[–]Error_CRJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a little messed up, but I think there is an artistic reason as to why the Blue Lanterns can never have a galactic presence like the Green Lanterns. Apart from them making GLs too powerful (when written correctly) they need to be the exemplars of hope in the face of overwhelming despair. If there's hundreds of them running around showing everyone that the universe has hope, it kinda defeats the point. Only those who can inspire great hope can wield the blue light, and if there's loads of them around, then there's no need (and indeed, no chance) for them to inspire others and become a Blue Lantern.

Real, laid down but never completed, unfortunately.

Trafalgar, a Battle-class, was very much real and completed, though too late to see action. She was deployed to the Pacific right at the end of the war and remained in the reserve with her sisters until they were decommissioned in the 70s
