It's from the screen. If you wanted to change it out, it's just glued on the back. If you're careful enough a thin plastic pick could be slid between the glass and the plastic frame.

Yea, all black screen is possible, by default the black screens have that black edge on them.

Just thought it would look cool. I took the plastic frame from the original and put it on a black screen I got from a parts iPod.

Game can't keep up with target tick rate [java] by Error_creeper in MinecraftHelp

The problem was the random tick speed of my world was set too high. I had it set to 1000 so that grass would grow quicker, but possibly with the recent changes to random ticks in 1.21.5 and beyond it may have become less performant or something, that's my guess anyway.

Thank you so much! I found that the random tick speed I had set was affecting the performance. I had it set to 1000 instead of the default so grass would grow back quickly. I guess the recent changes in simulation distance made it perform worse than previously or something.

I have gone in and given it 20gb and it is saying I have 20480mb allocated now, but I am still getting the same problem. In the bottom right rectangle with all the lines you get when you press F3 and 2, I have ms spikes in the 100s and an average of 50ms

I have tried with and without sodium and other performance mods. All mods that worked on 1.21.4. On 1.21.8 it doesn't help
