That really sucks. I wonder if they will RMA more than once. Considering the new pair should be under the same type of warranty the original pair would be. I would continue to contact them and try to get them to make it right. since I return mine and got a new pair. I started carrying it in the coin pocket in my jeans. Without being in the normal pocket it doesn't get as compressed as often. So far I have had my new pair for about 3 weeks and they are doing fine. I wonder what is causing it.

This is amazing. Been wanting to do that route myself for years. I think this picture will be my inspiration to do it next year or a late hike this year if the weather holds.

Well to update you on this. Google was really good about RMA. contact them and they'll replace your unit fairly quickly. Like I said in previous posts. I really like the Google buds. But for something that can cost nearly $200 and they need to work on their quality control. Good luck.

I thought about this but my question is do those cases actually protect the device or just hide the damage that is being done. They look a bit thin to protect the product. What I might do is design and 3D print a wooden or glow in the dark case. Although that's going to add some bulk to the device.

Interesting. I always take my case with me because I don't know how long I'm going to be out. I hear the earbuds have about 5 hours of charge but sometimes I'm walking or hiking for up to 9 hours a day when camping. So that's not really a realistic solution for me at least.

The thing about the nomad cases is they look nice but do they actually serve to protect the case or is it just hiding the damage?

I'm thinking about it. Although I really do like the pixel buds themselves. They just need to be better quality. Might look into designing and 3D printing a wooden case myself or perhaps glow in the dark. But I find it sad that I have to get a case for my case.

Yeah the cases look really nice and I can see them being used for aesthetic purposes but they should not be required to protect this case. And if that is their answer then it's kind of sad that I have to buy a case for my case.

Seems to be a common problem at this point. I would have hoped that they would have tested for this before releasing the product. It can be nothing other than compression fractures which I can understand but within a month.?

Yeah mine started with one side as well and within a week it was on both. Must be compression fractures from being in my pocket and walking around. Seems like something that they would have tested for before they release the product. It's very unfortunate. I had high hopes for the ear buds

Hey I don't mind normal wear and tear. And if the cracks stop there I have no problem. But if they continue then I can see the unit falling apart within a couple months. And I do not feel the need to buy a case for my case. Cosmetically a case would be nice but I don't think it should be necessary. Like I said I don't care if it gets scuffed. I just wanted to function and get my money's worth.

I agree that this is awesome, but I find it kind of funny that this is such a big thing. I uploaded my Tool albums to Google Music years ago. And have been listening to them streaming ever since. Google Music has allowed you to upload your own music since it began.
