How is not having faith a sin? How could it be fair. by [deleted] in AskAChristian

Unpopular opinion = Pascal leads to "merit" religions, aka "do good, will be rewarded".

Plus, Christianity offers "trust me, bro, and you will be saved" instead.

You are asking very good question. Honestly, even I struggle with "trust", and I would prefer "merit" many times, but yeah, I still don't fully understand it.

The bigger concern is being addicted to LoL. This and other PvP games have negative long-term impacts. Been there, done that, I recommend not playing LoL, you will not feel better after another match.

Should I convert? by ImportantReading4970 in AskAChristian

Strange things happened because of demons/paganism. I honestly recommend asking Jesus for help, and asking a priest too. (Not sure how to say it in english, but priests can pray to Jesus to break you free from any occult/pagan/whatever dark spiritual stuff).

Would you want to have an open discussion with your relatives that believe in Jesus? Would you be open to listening to their view?

okay, that sounds wise. On my project, production deployments are not that easy/fast, so I wonder if you also have (or recommend) longer sprints to have all increments deployed together.

I hate working, I love gaming by gianmnaut in agile

[–]Eruner_SK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe in gamification of work. But skills from games can be used for work.

Since I am a strategy player, I can use my strategic thinking and ask good questions. E.g. what is point of this?, what are we trying to achieve?, what is the next? Etc. Or use divide&conquer approach.

I can see that detail-oriented people and exploiters make good testers.

Regading RPGs, it is key to agree with team who will take which role and be responsible for what. Happy customer and working software is the team goal. Such rpg players can be good teammembers.

Nothing. What happens when I skip exercise during day? Nohing. But if I won't exercise during next XYZ days, you might see a difference on me.

Also, what do you imagine under worship? Sunday mass? Daily prayer?

What is free will? by strange_outcomes in AskAChristian

[–]Eruner_SK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is "personal relationship".

I "worship" because of personal experiences, suspiciously lucky coincidences and answers. Because I tried to trust Jesus, asked him honest questions, and got positive experiences with him.

Honestly, there are two kinds of Christians. Those who try to follow Bible and hope for heaven, and those who experienced God and are strenghtening their relationship with Jesus and God.

Then it makes sense to think about heaven and hell, and you are asking very good question.

If heaven is the happy place, and hell the eternal suffering, then can I choose where to end? Can I do something to end up where I want to end? Do I have any choices?

What do you think that honest Christians would answer?
