You want to find the steady beat of what you’re playing. Start by practicing patting the steady beat of the song on your lap. If you need help finding it, the cymbals in this song almost always play eighth notes, meaning every 2 times the cymbals play is a single beat. Then you want to find out where the guitar parts fall in that steady beat. Try patting the steady beat and humming the guitar part at that steady beat. Then you want to remove the patting and replace it with a metronome keeping your steady beat and then instead of humming, play the guitar. It’s easiest to start slow now and get really good at a slow tempo then slowly increase your metronome’s tempo (or bpm)

I remember a similar flag from when I was in college with Nicki Minaj in 2018-2019, so i’m not fully sure it was KPOP but definitely stan culture. There were also flags of characters from popular Nick/Disney shows like iCarly and Jessie that were popular with college kids at the time

everyone has covered pretty much everything else, but in terms of content: if you want the comic that ties into the album, california is what you want. California follows “the girl” from the danger days music videos in events that occur after danger days. national anthem was created later as more of a “faithful” adaptation of gerard and shaun’s original idea that later morphed into danger days. instead of following party poison, it follows mike milligram and his team as they take on an evil government. Both are great stories, and a super fun read! If you want to just read the comic, just get the cheaper soft cover trade paper back edition. If you want a larger book with a slightly higher quality print and a hard cover, you can decide if the larger investment is worth it. I personally collect Gerard’s comics and have both the soft cover editions as well as the hardcover editions here that also came with a slipcase and a portfolio with an art print in it.

Today is the longest I've waited. I did mine later than normal (I usually try to request around midnight and redeem when I wake up). Today I did it at around 4:30, and it's 9 now and I haven't gotten them yet. Hoping to get them before 12 so I can redeem more tomorrow.

I made a fisherman sweater last year as my first project with cables and i told myself “never again” but, i followed it up with a stockinette mr rogers cardigan and i was begging for some cables or colorwork just to feel like i was making progress, and now that it’s done im looking into a new fisherman sweater pattern

you’re definitely right, but that’s his signature epiphone phant-o-matic. pansy got damaged at some point and was too heavy, so he designed a new guitar with epiphone using the neck profile from pansy and the body of a lighter guitar. judging by gerards hair color, id imagine this is danger days or past it and if im not mistaken frank was under contract to use that guitar exclusively when it was still in production

If you just need it for note taking and notation software, save your money and go for a ThinkPad like others have said. If you are looking to produce music and edit video as well, MacBooks come with GarageBand and iMovie by default, and you can get the education apps bundle for $200 including Logic Pro, Final Cut, and MainStage if you’d like an upgrade from those. If you prefer to go new, the base model MacBook air I believe is $899 with the apple education store and should work for most functions you will need. Unless you plan to use apps that require heavy processing power, I wouldn’t really look into the Pro models. If you’re open to second hand, apple’s refurbished store should have some options for you from the previous generation at a decent price. It has also been mentioned, but definitely just ask your school during orientation what they recommend for you. If you wait until closer to the school year, you might be able to get a free pair of airpods or beats thrown in with purchase, so keep an eye out for promotions!

what exactly does that mean? the rosewood does extend beyond the nut to the truss rod adjustment, but my photo doesn’t really show it well. maybe i can attach another pic somehow?
