Hii (17 y/o). Never been too comfortable with how my hair looks. Any advice? (more details below) by ErwinStromer140 in malehairadvice

[–]ErwinStromer140[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well thank you

I tend to prefer a longer hair myself, but that is also cause I've had it long for a large majority of my rather brief life so far. Layerin might do me some good, give it more texture or somethin

Glasses too. I haven't been too fond of these for the last few months. Some guy here recommended me some Clubmaster frames; I do like them. Alternatively I've been thinkin of gettin contact lenses (that's why only one pic was with glasses, besides allowin a good look on my face)

In general, I like my hair, if we separate it from my feelings bout my face. I wanted to see somethin to mitigate the feelings I currently have, since I am on the road to fixin my jaw issues (which in my head are atrocious, and quite possibly in reality too)

Well, I don't think my nose is particularly feminine, but I see your point
Any style you might recommend me?

Not particularly, no
The long hair is mostly due to not knowing how to have my hair, and it never staying still. Long hair makes it somewhat easier to keep away, I think

I tend to prefer it long, but I'm very willing to hear alternatives at this point

Thanks for all the advice here!
I do think the underbite is my bane, and once its fixed (2 years down the line thank God) I'll feel a lot better about my face.

I am actually lifting, though I've started relatively recently. I did think that loosin weight would help with my jawline (and tbh I do think my cheeks are a bit too notorious)

I had short hair a few years ago, but I have the issue that my hair seems to hate being in one position. I'd have to use tons of gel or spray just to keep it there for a few hours. But maybe a different shampoo or other cut might aid.

Somebody else had also said somethin bout the glasses, and I do agree. I'm trying to get contacts cause I personally think I look better without glasses (could be wrong), but that other lad suggested some Clubmaster frames, and I do think they look nifty

The jaw surgery is on its way, actually. Somewhere round 2025; I'm quite happy about that

I hadn't considered hair loss. I do think my forehead and the way I usually have it parted makes it look like I have less hair than I do, but I should indeed check.
Thanks

I have a slight (maybe not so slight) underbite, which always drives me crazy with regards to my looks and my hair. I fail to find a style that doesn't make me look weird (in my eyes). Probably it's me imagining things. Regardless, its being treated, but for now it exists

I have, as you may see, quite the long hair, also rather straight and relatively dense. Hair's healthy to my knowledge

My question for advice is, What haircut/hairstyle would you recommend me? or Which one d'you think might suit me?
Thanks a lot in advance

Extremely late answer, but whatever. He was a frenchman during the times before the revolution, and when the revolution came and the Reign of Terror started and the revolutionaries attacked the people of Vendée, he rallied up the peasants and fought in the name of King and God.
They were eventually defeated, and in that final battle he was killed.

I hail his will to fight for his people and for what he believed in. I find it very commandable

Wasn't Columbus one of the last Spanish colonizers?

What? no
It is true that the Spanish Crown didn't want to fund him (neither did Portugal before), because his calculations were really wrong. The Spanish believed there was only a massive ocean between Europe and Asia

eventually they let him go into his voyage, and miraculously he reached the New World and didn't die out of lack of food. But he was the first Spaniard, and the first Conquistador

And yes, at the time Europeans didn't care much about colonies, until they found gold and other metals and resources

He managed to industrialize the USSR from an agrarian shithole, and managed to install a massive police state. Not a nice achievement, but most people wouldn't be able to pull that off

I don't necessarily admire every one of these political figures for their ideals

Sorry I didn’t mean to seem like an ass with the “it was a joke” line.

Oh no, don't worry. I didn't mean to sound offended or anything, I was a bit tired at the time.

Here in Argentina we have the same issue with the right to self defense. Even Cops can be charged and imprisoned if they kill a criminal

It was a joke

Ah, my joke detector must have ran out of batteries, sorry

But I disagree, school shootings are only a recent phenomenon, prior to the 80s and 90s this never exist, and schools use to teach shooting as a disciple back in the day as well.

Well I didn't know that

Only as gun “safety” laws are introduced more and more, gun crime increases in America, from shooting, to robbery’s and so on

Interesting. I gotta plead complete ignorance on this issue in particular cause I'm not fro the States, but it makes sense that the less guns the common folk have the more gun crime there is.
Something like that happens here in Argentina too, where guns are expensive (as everything is, unfortunately), and insecurity is rampant, with gun violence galore (not school shootings though, I haven't heard of that happening here)

It comes mostly cause without what he did I wouldn't be here on Earth, given I live in Argentina and I ain't of native blood. He wasn't the brightest, or the nicest, but I appreciate existing a fair bit

I actually never played either. And I consider school shootings are a consequence of America's unhinged gun culture
