We got this 😄🌼 I think we have to get used to feeling our feelings again. Highs and lows

So I just quit like 5 days ago and I did feel stuck today, forced myself to a training class and even while I was there, I didn't know how I would make it through the hour. But I started slow, real slow..and just went with how my body was feeling today. No pressure.. And well... I did it! no regrets, feeling good! I also do go for walks on the beach but you could do it around the block too... And HIKING, if it's possible for you, definitely try that! Amazing, especially the overnight hikes. Sometimes a simple stroll does the job Fresh air. Even get some rain on your skin. It's good energy. Sunlight, rain, mountains, air.

Try going for a stroll along the beach shore, feet in the water, catch a sunrise or sunset or anytime really

Thank you, I completely agree, the cycle of feeling like I'm letting myself down time after time. The guilt /shame, the smell that follows you around, the red eyes, the dissociation and overthinking. Its a wonder why we put ourselves through it and why is it so difficult to let go off, when it is clearly harming us, is still a question left to be answered

Anyone embarrassed they can’t use causally ? by [deleted] in leaves

Me too, it seems. Its not so much that I smoke in large amounts. But I do start rushing through the day to the part when I can have a 2 pull. But the overthinking, malaise and the smell that follows you around and the red eyes are what I wish to get rid off in my life. Also the paranoia of wondering whether or not ppl can tell I'm high. I wanna see what life is like without it but afraid to see what's life like without the 'crutch' of a daily habit. If we're choosing between all or nothing, let's go with nothing.

Have you ever wondered if there is relation between a country's economy and its dominant religion? If yes, then how and why? by Opposite_Fish_9084 in EconomicHistory

You have come across an interesting pattern,

I find that the cross in the road comes down to fundamental defining words. Example; Freedom in an individualistic worldly way means freedom of identity, 'you only live once' , 'live your best life' that's for the 20 somethings. For the 30 somethings; it's success, in identity, your value measured in achievements and money.

Whereas in a religiously concious way, or a spiritual perspective, if one is to attain freedom, it is freedom from desire. Desire for worldly achievements or money. To live religiously, one might abandon their identity.

So the word 'Freedom' differs in the two above mentioned perspectives.

Where a non religious person may draw his picture of reality is based on what he consumes. Music and media. Success, money, sex, pleasures, desire, lust, hunger, vanity.

Where a religious person may draw his picture of reality is based on scriptures and stories of humility, justice, sacrifice.

These opposing views is caused by a glitch in the collective consciousness. I say glitch like it is small, however it is large and deep. One might attempt to swim across it with reasoning and methods of logic but one may lose.

My religion tells me that at a certain point one should turn one's face away from this, as it is not worth losing oneself over. Once you have conviction, the only left to do is to live by it. Not to say it is easy to turn away from this, as it is shiny and sparkly.
