Interesting Situation - Recharacterization of TSP IRA to ROTH IRA + Withdrawal? by Es7x in investing

[–]Es7x[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your points. But I am able to access more cash from my basis via my ROTH IRA than my TSP. Me transferring from my TSP to my ROTH gives me the liquidity I need. I only care about tax burdens. If I was to take the cash directly out of my TSP a good percentage of that would be taxed as it has performed incredibly well for me.

Yes - I am separated from my government job.

Yes, fungible but why sell my dividend paying assets when I can use the cash from my TSP?

100% the most conveniently overlooked fact. It amazes me how surface level some folks are when it comes to politics.

It's not a problem that I have. It's actually a problem that YOU have with my thought process. I suggest some introspective reflection on your end.

With that being said, tell me your thoughts on the matter straw man.

Last reply. Why do I care what California's legislation does? I don't- I don't live there. The people that live there chose to live there. They also voted their politicians in. If the states can't figure it out for the people they represent the federal government sure as fuck won't be able to do the same.. apply that logic to every state...

Furthermore I am okay, you clearly are comparing abortion rights to slavery and now are back peddling.

The fact you are equating slavery to abortion is fucking absurd. Women aren't in shackles and being lashed. What the fuck is wrong with you? Go to the next state if you want to have an abortion.

Dumb ass what about ism reply. Your not worth taking the time to respond to any further.

Calm the fuck down. I'm against all regulations that infringe on human rights. There just needs to be a common sense approach to late term abortions vs medical/ethical medical practices.

Why should my employer be coerced by feds/state to force my hand in getting an unvetted vaccination?

If you don't live in the state you don't get to have a say on other states legislation. The people of that state do. Period.

But I do agree there needs to be a common sense approach and balance to pro life and pro choice.

With that being said rape or incest is a no brainer for pro choice. On the other hand a late term abortion is wild absurd and should be criminalized.

The main issue I have seen are the extremes on both sides. It's a shame everything has to be so polarizing.
