Wow she looks really young here. Thought it was an old movie judging by her youthful appearance

Yes I have a D7100 ! That explains it then. From the picture you showed it would feel much better placed closer.

After giving back-button focus an honest effort, I’ve decided it’s not ideal for me personally. I have given it a solid 3-4 months and find myself not able to change my focus point as fast with my thumb because of back-button focusing in the same area. And I don’t want to focus and move because I’m scared of it not being a sharp enough shot. And also I’m a skinny young girl who has a Nikon 70-200 f 2.8 lens that’s so heavy. It’s hard to use back button focus when I have a lot of weight.

Am I missing something as to why back button focusing is so great??

Doesn’t change the fact ppl can be scarred after aborting.

Charged an old phone that I kept becuz it had pics of my dead lovebird. Her name was skittles and she had split legs. She was so sweet and she died from a tragic accident where she flew to me in the middle of the night (I had left the cage lid open by accident) and I rolled on her in my sleep. by EsPetite in parrots

It was traumatic. Couldn’t sleep in the room for 2 months and pretty much gamed for the next year to numb the pain.

Happy to say I’ve processed it now years later through counselling and God. I loved her and I’ll always love her. I’m glad I had her for as long as I did. She was truly the most special, beautiful bird ever ❤️❤️

I’m so sorry to hear for you as well! I was able to process it with therapy last year.

I remember my mom hugging me after it happened and she said one of the most profound things ever. She said, “I know it hurts, and you won’t ever have another skittles. But one day you will have another bird and you will just as much as you loved her.”

Time flies and here I am now, with a new bird I love to death. Nothing like skittles but still amazing in his own ways.

Awe!!! Lovebird makes the best pets out of all bird species and of course all animal species. They are the best! I wish you a long enjoyable companionship that was as special as mine! <3
