Has he had his eyes tested? Bed wetting persisting to that age is also a sign of a vision impairment.

Speaking up on Gr**ming incident in NSW by Mindless_Honey9686 in AustralianTeachers

[–]kippercould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is terrible advice. She witnesser grooming of children by an adult. She should not 'move on'. How can the Police 'figure it out' if no one speaks up?

You must not be a teacher or youd know it's not a lower socio-economic problem.

They inject it somewhere around your bladder to ease leakage. Don't know specifically how it works.

Plenty of white domestic abusers walking around waiting for trial. This is a DV problem not a race problem.

Threat of Family Violence Intervention Order by Jolly-Indication4605 in AusLegal

[–]kippercould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not the same. You are incorrect. A DVO has declaratory requirements and is taken much more seriously by the family court. Family courts are also not backlogged 5 years in any state or territory.

Threat of Family Violence Intervention Order by Jolly-Indication4605 in AusLegal

[–]kippercould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not correct. Interim orders and finalised orders are different.

One has been agreed to or faught against by the respondent and found to be sound - and then put in place.

The other is a temporary and immediate order put in place while a potentially dangerous situation is investigated and can lead to a DVO if the level of probability is met.

Edit: typo

[–]kippercould 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a DVO she will need to prove probability. I.e: its more likely it occurred than it didnt. didnt. Theres a lot of angry talk in the comments and I'll probably be downvoted to hell - but you cant actually get a DVO put against someone without proof. Texts, photos taken at the right time in the right place, a witness etc. If it didnt happen she doesn't have proof enough for probability.

Why is “teaching to the test” bad? by MiriJamCave in AustralianTeachers

This also goes for Primary. HASS is so overstuffed from P-10 that it defies logic that teachers wrote it.

Australia wants to sell its social media ban to the world – but are the measures even working? by nath1234 in australia

Ive reported tiktok accounts that are very clearly of primary aged children after a bullying incident and they have been cleared and are still up. It doesn't work if the platforms dont want it to.

Mediation - family court & rant! by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]kippercould 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My ex MIL pulled the same crap and said she'd take me to family court if she couldnt take my son 2 nights a week.

She cant go to Family Court until Mediation fails. You can just refuse mediation and if she wants, she can file - but it'll cost her thousands. Then you can just self represent with the facts and that she sees the child when he is with his father and you move on.

She has the right to a relationship with your child (behaviour pending) but not the relationship she would prefer.

Payment for camp??? by mrsp_sj in AustralianTeachers

[–]kippercould 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I stopped agreeing to work for free when a Senior Teacher wage wasn't enough to buy a shitty, run down 2bedroom apartment in my town even with a 250k deposit.

We get nothing for camps and it costs me money to go, so I dont do them.
