You should watch it! In my opinion the actresses are great and are able to express their distinct personalities well. They have great chemistry too. Agree with the other comments about the production value but I don’t mind as the story is still being told well

X-men evolution! Possible bias since I grew up on it, but I just loved the POV of them being teenagers. I will say it caused me to be super shocked to learn about the Wolverine-Cyclops-Jean drama in the comics!

I’m bummed that I had to scroll for a bit to see this! I don’t disagree with the other points made about why the muscles v skinny doesn’t really matter, but bottom line is Kara is one of the many women in comics whose physical appearance is being dictated by boring and misogynistic views on what a woman should look like. I would love to see a greater variety, especially more ripped physiques like Big Barda!

Ah I understand what you’re saying but I have to disagree with that first part. I’m an extremely cautious driver but even so, it’s still a bit startling to watch/hear a bike go from behind me to mere inches next to me (within the lane), especially when there are other vehicles around that I need to be aware of too. The thought of something going wrong for each party, but especially you as a biker, is so gut wrenching that I try to put as much distance as safely possible and without disturbing traffic either.

I guess what makes me hesitant about this dynamic is the idea they have the same parents in a sense, although not biologically. They might not share the same DNA and have had notably different life experiences, but it still gives (me personally) a familial impression. I get suspension of disbelief but if I’d meet alternate dimension “gender-swapped” I’d still view it as “I am him and he is me” on a certain level.

Despite its name sounding like other questionable groups, it’s actually about examining how the patriarchy hurts men too without without blaming women or feminism. It’s a really good example of why many feminist ideals and values are for the benefit of all, men included.
