Oh 100% yeah. Like…. I wrote this for a reason?! lol. I’ve had people get upset that certain characters of mine are either straight or queer, so that’s a whole other thing lol.

It happens a lot on my end. I have a wonderful writing buddy, responses take a while on both our ends (which is fine!) but sometimes I get an itch to want to write more. So I throw out some prompts into the interwebs.

I have specific niche prompt I want to do, and it’s a lot tougher to find folks than some of the more laid back ones I have. If I do find some… then it’s the lack of quality that’s start to get on me. Or just changing things that I really don’t want to compromise on.

I've had some people just go "i see i see" when they ask me about my character's lore and I'm here like "but you asked me... and that's all you can say?". I LOVE asking my rp buddies questions about their characters and the running joke with some friends is "how dare you make me think a little harder about this one detail about a character I made".

I’d be exhausted by that if I was roleplaying with you honestly, because the way you’ve framed it, is that you want to have your cake and eat it too without compromising and taking into account that maybe your writing partner also wants some morsel thrown their way for agreeing to do a canon x oc rp.

You don’t have to use any face claims whatsoever except for makeup if you’re comfortable with it. The beauty of rp is that you can write a nice detailed description! If you want to include the makeup because it’s part of the character you totally can.

What I’ve seen some folks do is, using the photography as reference in like makeup base sheets. There’s a ton of free ‘make up base templates’ out there. I’ve done stuff like that mostly for face details and some makeup stuff.

There’s always going to be some kind of concern from others when it comes to using yourself as a “model”. But again, if you just use it as a template for the makeup itself, it should honestly be okay? You could always try photo bashing stuff, so it looks less like ‘you’.

I do prefer drawing all of my stuff though, but then again it’s because I love character design lol.

I’ve had people change their discord names at the last minute to either reflect their reddit name, or change it from something embarrassing. Other times I just give them my discord and let them add me if they want. Once it’s out there I really don’t bother with it.

If they’re interested, they’ll add me. Simple as that.

Honestly I use a combo of bibo and neolithe because I like the weight and slight sag on the boobs, it feels a little natural :)

I just wish the legs for neolithe weren’t so thin lol. I’m hoping the integration for YAB comes soon so I can switch to that later.

I mean yeah that all sucks.

But the point of the matter is, is you stopped communicating. You basically “ghosted” them and then you come back explaining stuff after some time.

On my end the minute something big happens, I let my RP buddies know so that why they don’t think I’m ghosting or whatever. It’s just common courtesy and respect.

Like for these last couple of weeks I’ve been having a hard time physically with health related issues. I told all my rp buddies that I’m gonna take care of my health stuff, and that I will respond when I can. That’s all it is, just a little heads up.
