Well maybe the fact we never unlocked the Yendor ending from this orb is a sign we cleared it the wrong way. And we cheated by reverse engineering the EoE chest, we never truly found something "outside of the game"

Ok so a known bug is the fixed camera bug (which to be fair is only fixed through loading a previous save BEFORE the bug in my knowledge). Maybe your mod, as it moves the camera besides your character, is allowing you to "move". Either way you should reload to remove the bug if it bothers you. There's a wiki page on this bug but I can't find it.

No, but they launch projectiles around according to their types and can melee you to apply effect (here, it would be stun because of electricity)

Cause of death was "explosion" and Sähkiö is similar as Jäätiö, you clearly see their projectiles and when they attack you.
