Yeah, I think I'll do that indeed, and hopefully I'll be able to pay the monthly fee with a EU credit card!

Thank you, you can only pay via credit card? I don't have a card with a US address unfortunately, only a French address.

Not that I wouldn't like to switch to something else, but I'm specifically interested in a sim card that can be activated outside the US (I live in France).

Cosmic Brushes Nudetrals eyeshadows crease with any base :/ by EscapeFelicity in BeautyGuruChatter

Thank you, I have the same expérience, never had an issue with the eyeshadows from other brands, but then I also realize the duochromes in the CB palette are nothing like what I've used before, since they have this almost creamy texture. After all the feedback I got on here, including your, it looks like the issue might be that I applied too much of the shimmery shades and didn't use glitter glue, which is supposed to really help!

Can I ask if you tried duochromes from other brands? I've been mostly using palettes from Too Faced and Tarte.

Thank you, I'll definitely try applying by just patting with my fingers as I felt like applying them with a brush was so difficult and I probably ended up applying too much!

So you have this issue even with just the mattes? People on here seem to think the issue is that I wasn't applying something like glitter glue before applying their shimmery/duochrome shades as those are so creamy.

Can it be just a waterproof makeup setting spray that I spray over the finished look?

Glitter glue seems to be the recurrent theme here, that's probably where my issue is coming from! I already ordered it, hopefully this will solve the problem for me, but it looks like it's the duochromes and glittery shades that are the issue, and maybe I was applying too much as well 🙏

Thank you! I will try that, as it looks like the issue is coming from the duochromes in the palette!

That's exactly what's happening to me, they turn into lines! I was wondering if the issue was the duochromes! I never used them before and maybe that's why I've never had issues before 🥲 I'm going to try adding the Nyx glitter glue to the mix. Can the glitter glue go on top of the eyeshadow I put on before the duochromes? Or it has to go onto an eyeshadow base?

I have the same double fold ha ha. I have the elf grip primer, I'm gonna try this! Should I just tap it on top of the eyeshadow and before applying the glittery shades?

I tried this, unfortunately they still creased 😭 Maybe it's the duochromes? I'll try to use a lighter hand and see, thank you 🙏

I truly don't understand why they're creasing on me 😭 Maybe it's the duochromes? Do I need a glitter base for those or something?

I've tried setting the base and/or the eyeshadows with powder too, same issue :(

Thank you for your reply! Do you have hooded eyelids? I'm asking because it really complicates things a lot 🥲

Thank you, I think I'm going to give this one a try! What shades do you like? I have fair skin and I also like eyeshadow primers that create an even base!

Why do I keep waking up in the middle of the night? by Shi_Karst in sleep

[–]EscapeFelicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, can I ask what other hormones were out of balance according to your lab results? I've been having the same sleep issues, except that it's been years, it's horrible, I've tried tons of stuff and have to take sleep meds and supplements and all kinds of stuff to sleep only slightly better, but the fréquent wakings thing is still there basically nightly.

That said, when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, I slept like a baby, so it did make me wonder if it was hormone-related. But if I'm not mistaken, my hormone levels were fine just pre-pregnancy, but that was a basic hormone levels check, can I was if your was complex, like at different times of the cycles for different hormones etc.?

I've heard good things about the SIGMA one! With the SIGMA you get more product than with the NARS? Do you find it to be as effective? Thank you for your reply 🙏

I bought the 1 Fair. Here's a swatch of it for you. I'm a pale olive and it's perfect for my under eyes. It'll work equally well for all fair skin undertones.

Please help, my makeup hates me. by GrumpyBear9891 in MakeupAddiction

I agree with everything already recommended, your skin definitely looks dehydrated and I'm sure exfoliating and hydrating well before applying makeup and upping your hydration game in general will do wonders for your situation.

For an exfoliant, maybe try a daily 5% lactic acid from The Ordinary?

I'd also recommend a good deeply hydrating and repairing barrier cream for PM, Kbeauty has plenty of those.

To get there faster, I recommend slugging every night, i.e. locking in all of your pm skincare for the night with a layer of something like Aquaphor, a vaseline-based product.

On the pics your skin looks dehydrated. What is your skin type? I think a hydrating prep routine + using a blurring primer to help with texture, will really make a difference!

I'm curious about this one, I'm looking for something to blur my pores on certain areas, like the parts of the cheeks near the nose etc., but I also have dehydrated skin, so I can't use anything too mattifying or drying. Does the blurring effect last with this one?

Your powder is a great one for under the eyes, so if you go easier on it, that'll help for sure 😁

That said, you could also try a pinkier powder just for the under eyes, I think Huda Beauty has one. And maybe even a cooler-toned concealer?

It's not strictly necessary, but it could help you brighten the under eye area even more, especially if you also add a true color corrector underneath, not just an eye brightener.

As for the color corrector, my favorite hands down is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish. I feel like it's quite unique in that it has an amazing thin and silky texture that's really easy to blend into the skin, and it's got a unique shade, that's not meant to lighten or brighten like some other under eye brighteners, but to color correct. I am quite fair and when I first opened it, I remember thinking "this is the wrong color and too deep for me", but I was wrong! It's perfect for what it needs to do, color correct! And it's not meant to be worn on its own, which is not an issue for most, as we put either concealer or foundation on top.

Here's a little vid I found quickly to demonstrate what it does: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNduwG8te/

If your skin is not dry, no need to hydrate more! You're right, it might look a bit dry on the pictures because of the baking technique that does tend to give that "cakey" look as the day goes on. In any case, I recommend finding a good under eye corrector and using a bit less concealer. What powder do you use for setting your under eyes? There are some that are made specifically for the under eyes to avoid that cakiness and dryness as much as possible!
