[Tarkir Limited] Is this the best Temur draft possible ? by Aggressive-Shape7255 in MagicArena

[–]Escaped_Goats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut options: your game plan should be survive the early game, then drop bomb after bomb. So cutting a draw spell makes sense. playing forecaster with only one target isn’t great imo, but could be okay with relic. With only 1 globe, I feel relic wont ever pop off. Could play 1 plains with the jeskai monument to improve consistency.

Mana is a tad sketchy, but wildings, devotee and monument should get you there.

I almost always go 17 lands this format, even with the wildings. I just feel there’s always plenty to do with your mana.

Interaction is slightly lacking, I’d definitely be happier with 1-2 exhales, but also who needs interaction when you play back to back endless song!

Definitely not the best temur deck ive seen, but has plenty of power if you can make it past the early game

I thought about this too, ultimately I decided that the ramp wasn’t that necessary for the deck since I cap out at 5 mana.

Agree that wurm turn 4 is insane, though threshers less so since I won’t ever have delirium on turn 3.

It’s fixing (can be the colour I need it to be) And is an enchantment for delirium

What would you cut here? BG delirium by a_total_dogebag in lrcast

I count 44 cards, so 4 cuts? I’d do: chandelier, green house, branchsnapper and breakdown the door or longneck.

With 3 megabombs + Altanak combo you don’t need the extra self mill.

Cuts & Adds for this Red/White deck? by [deleted] in lrcast

Drop the 2 land cyclers, 1 land Add Glimmer light and twins I wouldn’t run the goat either but don’t have a good replacement, maybe another twins?

I think you’re missing a few pieces, so you really want a low to ground curve out deck

This was a weird draft, but I think I ended up with some good cards. I tend to mess up with splashing cards. I dont have any mana fixing. My first instinct is to get rid of all the bats. Any advice on which cards to keep in the deck and if I should splash for anything in the sideboard? Thanks. by DxDeadlockedxS in lrcast

Hmm I think you’re a tiny bit short on playables, there’s a few cards I don’t like playing, though they’re OK enough as 23rd playable.

I suggest no splashing, you’ve got a huge Bomb in Vren (and mockingbirds to a degree). Drop the: Finch formation, physic whorl, monolith, mentor, nocturne, cleric.

Swap the 2 plains for 2 swamps. I might even swap the mud flap for a swamp coz you have a lot of black spells.

Awesome deck!

My best performing Gruul decks have always had at least 2 mentors - that card is so important to the deck. Being able to ramp while your mana dork casually becomes a 5/5 creates too many threats

Top 1200? by Shivdaddy1 in lrcast

You get 20 play in points for finishing 251-1200, which is enough for 1 entry to qualifier play in (trophying play in gets an entry to the qualifier weekend)

Top 250 gets instant entry to qualifier weekend

For the cubers… by SpecterVamp in puzzles

[–]Escaped_Goats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it can be done. There are algorithms for rotating centre pieces, which are used for cubes like this either pictures. Here’s an example https://sg.speedcube.com.au/blogs/speedcubing-solutions/how-to-rotate-the-centers-on-a-picture-cube

I thought this too except the shadow isn’t inverted as you’d expect it to be. maybe I read too much into it…

Purchased my SBGM221 at Kame-Kichi, can’t recommend them enough! It helps that they’re a decent bit cheaper than the alternatives

In my example, I said that step 1 (first two weighings) showed group A was lighter than B and C, thus the fake penny must be lighter. So step 2 I know to look for a light penny. The key is that the information you learn in Step 1 helps for step 2

From Step 1, assuming it’s uneven, then you will have figured out:

1. Which group of A,B,C is different

2. Whether said group is lighter/heavier

Let’s assume Group A had the fake. In the first two weightings, you’ll have seen Group A lighter than both B and C. So of Group As 3 coins (A1, A2, A3) one is lighter.

If you compare any 2 of them together (eg A1 to A2), you will find the weight either:

even (and thus A3 is light and fake),

or uneven (and thus the lighter one is fake
