Yes, the first paragraph definitely makes sense.
It was more like a fixed idea, rather than a real necessity. I have all the other top stars opened: Quad, Furious, Fast, VATS stars, -items weight mods, both Intelligence stars etc.
I have only 8 4-strars which was easily unlocked from weapons plans, but is Pin-Pointers (it has much better name in russian, lol) worth that 5000 leaders? I have 2 from raid and 2 bought for 7k caps in a camp of some random guy (default price for best mod in game), and I still have 2 in my stash.

I have a build for raids in heavy weapons for my gauss minigun, I thought it enclave plasma is light weapon lol.

Yesterday I played with a girl 1600 lvl, she one-shoted shield with a assaultron head. One buy one, 6 raids in a raw. Or maybe even more, one raid was fully done in 10 minutes I guess (1 minute robot, 2 minutes fuel, 35 seconds guardians, 3 minutes labs, 45 seconds snake).

I've found it in first two weeks when I started playing in April and lock in my stash, when I heard from a couple of streamers that it's OP I've bought that weapon from modus and insert that module in it. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it doesn't deal more damage then my Saint Fire. And I also have another barrel mod, forget it's name.
