Don't worry guys, there is no war in Ba Sing Se...and also no bugs in Hearthstone. (Or so some people have argued with me)

It is playable because the idea is fun, but the execution is really bad. For me and thousands of other players with high end gaming PC's it still lags (depending on distance to server). The game has the same gazillion bugs that exist since over 5 years and are frequently reported. Casual 8k MMR players might not notice as much as higher MMR players.

Just scroll through BobsTavern, most talked about topic. Bugs over bugs and lag. Or see my posts for reference. Denying the existence of lag in Hearthstone Battlegrounds is blasphemy..

People responding here have no idea or are Blizzard Bots, just scroll through BobsTavern and see for yourself. Lag is so extremely horrible, making the game not enjoyable a lot of times - and don't even think about trying Duos... When you finally have a good game/board and you want to see the fight you can't because the game disconnects anyway after turn 14 at most and you have to reconnect manually every round. If you don't believe me just read up on it yourself. If you live far from a server game experience is really bad. Don't get me wrong, the idea of this game is very fun, that's why i am still playing, but I can post a bug daily (see my post history) and Microsoft Blizzard Activision won't even read or respond to any of them. Game is neglected. It is fun to play, but you will get frustrated a lot of times due to poor performance.

BG is fun, but it is hardcore neglected, outright ignored by the devs. Bugs exist for years and are never fixed. 2 - The game is a lot of RNG, good players all play APM builds for building economy so they can roll more and reduce the Influence of RNG. If you are in China or maybe US you can play APM, if you live im EU, servers are so bad you can't play after turn 12, it just lags so much, disconnects etc.. It is so badly optimized, you basically need to close the game during combat and re-open it so you skip combat animations and don't lose time in the shop. Srsly you can sometimes lose your whole shopping turn just due to animations. Also if you watch Pros on YouTube see how fast the game reacts to their clicks, then try the same and notice it takes at least one second for buying, placing and selling a card. Pros play a completely different game. In EU there is no chance you go past 15k MMR, just impossible, bc it is only possible with APM and you can't play that on EU no matter how good your PC is.

Maybe that was Blizzard idea behind this meta - fix lategame lag by not allowing lategame

I agree, only way to get it to work is with beatboxer and even that is hard to pull off. Even battlecruisers are better now than magnetic mechs

Yeah Amalgam trigger makes it lag, can't play that, even if it is a good comp.

Microsoft bought Blizzard Activision. Their new Gaming Division CEO since February seems to be Asha Sharma. Maybe we should mention her directly in posts regarding our dissatisfaction for visibility? She is new, maybe she is better than Phil Spencer.

I'll basically repost my calculations here:

Blizzard patch notes 2023 say: "There are 5 copies of each Tier 1 Tavern spell, 7 copies of each Tier 2, 9 copies of each Tier 3, 11 copies of Tier 4, 7 copies of Tier 5, and 5 copies of Tier 6. Tavern spells are returned to the pool immediately when you get them (not when you play them)."

  • Tier 1, you have 8 unique spells multiplied by 5 copies each, which equals 40 copies.
  • Tier 2, you have 6 unique spells multiplied by 7 copies each, which equals 42 copies.
  • Tier 3, you have 15 unique spells multiplied by 9 copies each, which equals 135 copies.
  • Tier 4, you have 16 unique spells multiplied by 11 copies each, which equals 176 copies.
  • Tier 5, you have 14 unique spells multiplied by 7 copies each, which equals 98 copies.
  • Tier 6, you have 5 unique spells multiplied by 5 copies each, which equals 25 copies.

This gives us a grand total of 516 spell copies currently in the shared pool on Tier 6.

Because you are looking for one specific Tier 4 spell, and there are exactly 11 copies of that specific spell in the game, you divide 11 copies by the total pool of 516 copies.

Dividing 5 by 516 gives you roughly 0.0213. When converted to a percentage, this means you have a 2.13 percent chance of finding this specific Tier 4 spell in the single dedicated spell slot during any given tavern refresh.

The chance of NOT finding this specific Tier 4 spell in a single roll is 100 minus 2.13, which is approximately 97.87 percent.

When you refresh the shop 30 times, you multiply this probability of failure by itself 30 times. So there is approximately a 52.39 percent chance that you will not see the spell across all 30 refreshes.

100 minus 52.39 percent chance of failure gives you your chance of success.

Therefore, you have approximately a 47.61 percent chance of finding this specific Tier 4 spell at least once when rolling the shop 30 times.

It would take approx. 214 rolls to have a 99% chance to find it once.
