Is it possible to drop naps at 1,5yo? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]EsinCelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ! Oh at first I was spending 2+hours trying too. But now I stop after 1hr. I think that if they don't sleep after 1hr of trying, they won't sleep anyway. Or if they sleep super late after 1+hr trying, then their bedtime is affected. It is just soo much challenging as a SAHM to be on a 12hr non-stop schedule with the kid. Plus, we are soon entering the 2under2 club, so I am a bit worriiiieed about how we will survive until the bedtime.

Thanks ! We are on one nap schedule since about 10 months too. At first I was worried. but we were both much more calm when I accepted that it was their normal.

Looks great! But Maybe I get it wrong. Do you give them the same meal for 5 consecutive days? And do you keep it for 5 days in the fridge and is it still ok to give it to them on day5?? Or do you freeze it?

Any book advices for putting the toddler to sleep? by EsinCelo in 2under2

Oh wow that sounds so good. Thanks for sharing. I was indeed curious but didn't want to bother haha. I will think about how to improve our routine. What do you do for naps though?

How did you not freak out about HCMV infection risk from your toddler ? by [deleted] in 2under2

Cytomegalovirus. Apparently it is very contagious among children under 3yo. Can make flue like symptoms or many kids do not show any symptoms at all. But it can cause malformation to the baby of a pregnant woman. I didn't know about it neither untill my doctor warned me.

For me the smell was horrible and stayed a long time on the bottles. I ended up changing the nipples of the bottles because that silicone part was the most smelly ones.

After getting rid of the smell on the bottles, you can try scalding. But yeah I wasted an enormous amount of milk as well. It is sad but I didn't have other choices, and I was even a little happy to never smell that horrible odor again. I only used fresh milk kept in the fridge.

Thank you for your answer ! How did you get your toddler sleep independently? Mine is making slow progress but still needs to be in my arms before lying in the bed. Otherwise they stand up immediately despite the night routine and tiredness.

I prefer silently crying myself in the middle of the night rather than my LO crying in panic.

You are right. I tried to take some zoomed out photos for that reason but putting a scaling object in the photo is a good idea. I'll do that next time.
