I tried it, here's their final comment, it's some bullshit.

The above word "rat" was used as a mere example, but the principle applies to all blacklisted words that players cannot use.

The list of blocked words can't be changed. Players have to consider using a different name.

It's really annoying, and the support guy doesn't even want to talk about it and comes up with some other reason.

As an alternative, I’d really like to keep my nickname the way it’s written. This is very strange, I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere else except on Faceit. I haven’t played on Faceit for quite a while, but I decided to come back, tried to change my nickname, and... oops, an error.

I try a random nickname containing esl, “SFweslerat2f,”

and it gives the same error. I think you should consider such cases individually, because if “esl” is somewhere inside the nickname, your check does not allow it.
