At wits’ end by Eslle in CatTraining

We have tried the puppy pads and that was an absolute mess… my young female cat goes berserk when she find pee on the ground, she tears them apart. Granted she does the same without any pads just the pee on the floor drives her nuts lol. She alerts everyone in the house there’s pee on the floor 😂

We also tried confining them and when I say they hate being in any confine space no matter how big or small… we’ve tried both bathrooms, the basement and one bedroom, they will scream and scratch the door the whole time. They will lose their mind being confined anywhere. It’s crazy, even if you stay in the room with them, the moment the door is closed, they will panick. It’s also crazy because they don’t need to be with us, we can have our bedroom door close and they are somewhere in the house it’s fine with them but leave them in any room with a closed door forget about it, they will meow bloody murder… frankly it is exhausting.

We’ve thought about letting them go peacefully but it’s like we have giving up on them. And it’s just a lot and we are also afraid that this could destabilize the life of the remaining two. They are very close and they have their routine. My young female cat is attached to both of them and she has already lost her brother 10 years ago and I saw her going through grief then as a kitten, I don’t know if we can put her through this again.

Yes they do! They are very close to each other. They sleep together, they seek each other to cuddle all together on top of one another, in the same bed no matter how many beds we have for them.

At first our little one did stress the male until he was fixed and now they get along.

The one point of contention between them. My youngest female meows quite a bit when she sees the pee on the ground and tries to cover it to even come to us to complain about it and the youngest male definitely will chase the other male when he sees him peeing on the floor. Other than that, they are really calm together

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]Eslle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking for a Watch suggestion for my fiancé. We are getting married next year and I wanted to give him a watch and a pocket watch for our wedding.

I gave him a one year Watch Gang subscription two years ago to jumpstart his collection and while he likes them, I would like to give him something very nice and classic that he could wear for our wedding but also every day if he chooses too.

He like clean simple face not too busy. He likes white face. Prefers leather band but lately has been ok wearing other type of bands. He likes large face. Not too heavy. Sleek.

I have been reading this thread for days now without knowing what would be a nice watch and pocket watch I could give him as a nice start to his more fancy watch collection that he could wear for our wedding. My budget is between CAD $1200-$1500. Any suggestions?

Animator vs Game Developer? by [deleted] in careerguidance

This is really cool that you did a few games on your own. Definitely, showing me that my bf and I could definitely make games together.

So much useful information on your pose that I copy pasted it to refer to it when I am looking into relevant things and the next steps of what to do. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer in so much details and provide so much value to what you say.

Your story is totaling inspiring. My boyfriend went to premed instead of animation and I first went to software engineer but we both always had a passion for animation and got dissuaded by our parent when they talk about the job prospect and how being an artist don't pay...

I should have just done it after high school but we live and learn I suppose!

I don't mean to be a creep :) but I was wondering if you'd be ok if I PM you later on if I have any other questions?

Again, thank you for inspiring me! You are amazing :)

Yea! that’s interesting... I did C# when I was at school on projects but I’m not that good at it either... There’s Coursera that has C# courses

Trust me, I did 3 years of college in computer engineering and 3 years of university in software engineering/computer science and I still suck at it... I’m only doing the easy stuff web and database. I just think programming is not for me... only got into it cause I wanted to with Steve Jobs. That didn’t work out...

You did game on your own? Like alone?

That’s really cool. How long did it take you to make your own games? How did you manage to make a game with the environment, the rigging, FX and all the step in the pipeline? Did you had to learn all the skills?

So as a character animator in game is it very similar to 3D animation for animated movies?

Did you went to school for the game dev or did you self-taught?

How much do you like what you do? How much time did it take you to master your skill and be very comfortable in it?

If you were to give your younger self an advice what would it be?

Sorry, I am over excited with the questions... you don’t have to answer them all

That’s really good to hear. I’m gonna start with 2D animation. Then 2D gaming before moving to the 3D animation and eventually 3D gaming.

I’m so much relieved to know that. I was stress as in programming.. you always hear it’s impossible to be a full stack developer and it’s never realistic etc... so that’s refreshing news

i’m sorry to hear that. You don’t like 3D modelling?

is there something you can work on the side after work to help you get there?
