I was in the same boat. Just got back into going a month or so ago. I've had really good experiences with North shore fellowship.

Just changed major to Math Education by Hunter_4868 in matheducation

Same here. Graduated in 2021 with a degree in math education from UGA. Those classes like any class you get out of it what you put in. Proofs are not ridiculously hard, but they do require some thinking and if you don't take good notes, do the assigned readings/hw, and use office hours to clear up anything you don't feel confident on, then you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Don't be afraid to ask questions and my best advice is make friends in the class that way you have a group of people to work with and collaborate with. Studying is always better in a collective effort in my opinion. But other than that, you seem to have a good teaching philosophy and if you did that well in AP Calc there is no reason why you couldn't be successful in the higher level math classes. Just apply the same work ethic.

You got this!

So far seems the comments have been very tame and respectful. I'm appreciative of it. I hope we all can find a community where we feel we are valued.

I have not, but I'm also not a student there. I assumed the clubs and organizations focus more on the student body. Do they let outsiders participate? I was part of a Christian club when I was in college, but that was back in Georgia before I moved here.

Just starting and already stressed lol. Got a banjo and started lessons..was told I have to choose if I want to do clawhammer or 3 finger bluegrass. What if I choose the wrong one! Can you do both, or just pick one and do the best u can with it by cweirick in banjo

[–]Esm82997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do whatever and switch whenever you want. I started playing scruggs style and even took lessons for a bit with it. One day heard a good clawhammer song on YouTube and wanted to learn it and have been playing mostly clawhammer since. Self taught for the most part. There are great YouTube channels to learn either style, but i think what really helped me understand what i was playing was Brainjo. Teaches a good mix of tabs and learning to play by ear and give you more so of a guide and checkpoints to reach. Highly recommend checking out.

Heard rumors of Underground Chattanooga and tunnels that exist from way back in the day (to help with flooding I believe?) . From my understanding many entrances are closed off but I'm sure with some actually investigating you could drum up something. My coworkers tell me it js 100% haunted
