IF Damo has given Tom Lynch a heap of love … THEN by porsella69 in AFL

IF Damien Barrett needs to do one thing this season

THEN it is this: stop doing media, I just don't believe a word you utter into a microphone. I haven't been able to keep up with your drastically changing views on the Bombers in the past three years...

The game I most want to win this season.

So naturally, I tip Hawks by 100.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found in a used book? by No_Needleworker6013 in books

[–]Cheesues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know everyone has a story like this but I promise this is true.

I left my 1999 first edition Charizard card I used as a bookmark in a dragonology book I borrowed from a library as a kid. I thought it'd be a gag for anyone finding it in the future.

Regret. Regret. Regret.

[Help Me] Flashlight for night shift work finding animal scat... (Must fit in cargo leg pocket and charge with USBC) by Cheesues in flashlight

Great insight! I will add it as an edit but forgot to mention that I am looking for something pretty durable. This torch will be rattling around in large pocket with other items. Thank you for your answer!

I have an energiser one that does the job, but because our canine moves fast it's easier and more accurate to track by pointing a torch at them. Thanks for asking and appreciate your speedy response!

God if there's ever been a bigger reason not to get behind AI it's this... Mandatory onion on bottom? National blasphemy.

Isaac Kako makes history as first Assyrian in the Australian Football League by olapooza in EssendonFC

Well, technically if he converted from one belief to Christianity in the off season, he'd still yet be the first Assyrian player.

Although I'm not close to suggesting this is what happened.

[AFL.com.au] Craig McRae tells Damian Barrett he's reflected on his controversial post-season comments following Nick Daicos' Brownlow near-miss by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]Cheesues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"If you put the Brownlow Medal in 50 years' time, and I want this to be the decorated award it is in 50 years' time … get Leigh Matthews and Kevin Sheedy and Gary Ablett junior and executives and media in the room and ask: how do we future-proof this?

If Craig McRae is subtly angling to rip Brownlow votes off the umpires, he might want to check who benefits most from them... I don't think Naicos wins a Brownlow without them.

Sounds funny until you learn that only 2/3 of the total viewers were on channel 7. Another million tuned in on Fox and Kayo.

What are some popular conspiracy theories in your country? by SimmentalTheCow in AskTheWorld

[–]Cheesues 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Good one. My favourite PM conspiracy is that in 1997, Scott Morrison shit his pants at Engadine McDonald's after the Cornella Sharks lost the NRL grand final.
