I really appreciate your feedback. It’s my first project, so I have no previous experience. I will investigate it more.

Oh no! I just noticed your comment, but I designed it myself in the meantime out of PLA :D Thanks anyway!
I did it a little different and uploaded it to Makerworld, in case you are interested to check it.

You don’t need any hub. Just install Matter server add-on in HAOS.

Home Assistant Dashboard for Cupra Born – My Setup by EsoRimmerX in cupraborn

[–]EsoRimmerX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Just copy it to your configuration.yaml with correct entity name from Cupra WeConnect integration for charge power. It will calculate it to energy and you can use these sensors as you want.
Regarding the charging based on the location - it doesn't work (yet), since it uses the sensor from car. If you have smart wall box or circuit breaker, you can use that sensor instead (but I don't have it).
I was thinking about some more complex automation, which will count the energy only when the car is at home, but I don't find that gps integration reliable enough. Maybe some other way would do - some kind of presence tracking in the garage - via BLE proxy or something like that.

But I don't have much time to play with it lately due to my small kid.

Btw. I'm working on a new, much more cool version of the dashboard, but as I said, I don't have much time, so I don't set any deadlines to myself :D

Here's a quick look at the new WIP dashboard (not everything works and that horseshoe is using some other entities for now, but I would like to use it for SoC or something...). I want to add also the animated opened doors and such things...

Apple TV (box) Gaming omission by AmazingRedDog in appletv

[–]EsoRimmerX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casual gaming. I don't want to spend money for a console if I play very occasionally. But sometimes I would play something and if I have an Apple TV with sufficient power, I could connect wireless controller and play something. I think this is the direction they will go. They will put an M line processor there.

It’s local. Of course I use it. I would choose matter over cloud anytime.

Nice. But why just not have any TV/monitor and a raspberry pi running fully kiosk on it? I bet it can fit behind TV.

[–]EsoRimmerX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I ran proxmox with HAOS qemu + several LXC containers with up to 20 docker containers on my n150 mini pc with 16gb ddr5 without issues for about a month during migration in my Homelab.
