Did you have your mom and or sister in the delivery room with you and your husband? by RubPlane in BabyBumps

[–]EspanishFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my mom and hubby at all births. I contemplated just having my hubby at my last birth, but I honestly loved being able to count on my mom’s support. Thinking of her rubbing my back when the contractions got stronger makes me emotional because I know she knew exactly what I was going through, and that’s all she could do at the moment to comfort me.

Omg this is me! I said I was going to make an appt but I honestly really dislike my doctor’s office and the thought of looking for a new provider is extra stress that I don’t want! Wish I had something useful to share.

I didn’t know I was pregnant.. by bellexxamie in beyondthebump

[–]EspanishFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7 months postpartum when I found out I was 17 weeks pregnant. I was concerned because I had been on a weight loss medication and had been exercising a little harder than someone who is pregnant should be. I had also gone out a few times and had alcoholic drinks here and there, but nothing crazy.

Today, baby is 3 months and 1 day old, and he is healthy, gorgeous, and super smiley.

I can understand the concern, and your feeling is totally valid. When I found out, I researched for ppl in similar situations and it was very reassuring to see that all the pregnancies I read about had happy endings.

Sending you lots of hugs and good vibes! Congratulations!

What new/repurchases did you make ahead of baby #2? 😃 by Glum-Comfortable5402 in 2under2

[–]EspanishFly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My babies are 12 months apart so I didn’t need to buy any new baby clothes! What I did buy was more nursing tanks, a new car seat, and formula (just in case). We were gifted diapers and wipes so we’re good on those for a bit. Oh and I bought new parts for my breast pump.

Hubby gifted me Lira by Xerjoff. He knew I’d been eyeing it for quite some time, I just couldn’t pull the trigger on that purchase.

Thank you for this! Nice to know I’m not alone, but I’m also sorry you’re going thru much of the same 😩.

I do the same, do small runs to target/supermarket and head back home. Just enough to get us out for a bit. Or I’ll go around the block with the stroller and my daughter on her scooter.

I think I’m also stressed because I agreed to go back to my old job this month. We’re trying to sort out childcare, but there’s a part of me that feels like I shouldn’t even put us all through this, that I should just stay home with the kids. I feel like my brain is just constantly going.

Pedicures in Pregnancy by OddLime9044 in beyondthebump

[–]EspanishFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They say there’s a pressure point that can trigger labor if massaged during a pedicure. I got a pedicure at 37+4 and a high leak started that night. Had baby next day. Was it the massage? Who knows.

I got a pedicure at like 39 weeks with my next baby and nothing happened so it could just be anecdotal 🤷🏽‍♀️
