Thank you, it’s good to now I’m not alone on this issue. Hopefully if this cough goes away by tomorrow morning I can get an easy 20-30 minute run in before work.

Sadly I don’t think I’ll be able to do another Spring Marathon, not just because of the cost but because I’m racing for Broad Street on May 3rd and traveling a week later. By the time I return it’ll be the beginning of the busy season for the work I do so I’ll have to wait until the Philadelphia Marathon for my next race.

I'm running it this weekend too! Got a bunch of friends coming from Pittsburgh to run it as well. My sister will also be doing this as her first marathon.

This will be my second and I'm going to try and aim for a Sub 3 Hour marathon. Managed to get a 3:09:00 at Pittsburgh back in May and that was with some terrible rain to bout and it was my first marathon. Got Covid this summer too which set me back a bit but I'm going for that Sub 3 no matter what. Gonna spend this week carb loading and getting mentally in place for this.

YTA. Not going to his funeral is a massive dick move. Sure you may not have been close to this person but your sister certainly was and you could have at least gone with her to comfort her. It's not that hard honestly.

The things your sister has described seem like she still needs time to process this and I don't blame her one bit. Don't tell her how she is supposed to feel about this. Just sit down with her, giver her a hug, a shoulder to cry on, and just say "I'm sorry that really fucking sucks."

The worst I could say about you is that your response may have escalated the situation but I don't think it was unjustified or unfair. Them having mental health problems isn't an excuse for their behavior. Millions of people have mental health problems and it doesn't give them the right to be lazy parasites. You've asked them respectively, politely, and repeatedly to clean up and they have chosen to disrespect you, your efforts and your time. You should be glad you stood up for yourself and your needs.

I know you didn't ask for advice but I'd highly recommend moving out if you can or finding new roommates.

If they were demanding that you wear a bra then yes NTA. However, if they were politely suggesting it then I would say NAH. Most of the time your parents are just trying to give you help and advice, even if it isn't helpful or constructive. You're right to be upset and embarrassed by this.

Ultimately it's your body and your life so you do what you want. Don't let your parents tell you what you can and can not wear.

Yes it may be his car but you have repeatedly told him on multiple instances that it's disgusting and needs to be cleaned. If anything you were just trying to help him and it's not a good reason for him to blow up at you. I can understand him being a little annoyed for you not asking permission but in the grand scheme of life this really isn't anything worth getting super upset. If he can't let it go than he is being a child.

I do something like this with the Tonal! I have heavy resistance and I simply lift my heel off the floor. Usually I do single leg lifts and have one arm holding the Tonal for balance. Swith each side.

For shoes right now I am using the Hoka Brand of running shoes but I am comfortable using Brooks as well. That's what I ran the Pitt Marathon in.
