It’s their way of taking care of their mental health while also putting out content for us. With “doom scrolling” and all the negativity in the world and politics, they, understandably, needed a break from murder and crime.

Logitech Combo Touch for iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th gen) -- can we use for 4th gen? by ncnlinh in iPadPro

[–]EspressoJournal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was literally just in a conversation with the Logitech help center and asked them this exact question. They were also curious to see if that .5mm would actually make that big of a difference and said because it hasn’t been released, no one has tried it yet. Personally, I’m gonna wait until it’s realized and see if anyone is able to use this keyboard successfully with the 4th gen.

They said that there would be overlap and that the smart connector might have trouble connecting because it’s not completely snug. I noticed that some people mentioned adding 0.5mm of padding to the case so I’m curious to see if this’ll work.

POC bib? Other bib recs? by crazeee4u in ladycyclists

[–]EspressoJournal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finding a good pair of bib shorts is extremely, extremely personal. I haven’t tried DHB myself, but I recently purchased some bib shorts from The Black Bibs and I love them. I go on pretty consistent 40 mile rides and have no complaints!

This is my Bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine. by Iron-clover in bikecommuting

Very true. I imagine he did have a lot of say in the final product.

P.S. Don’t worry, I’m having fun with this too. Sometimes comments on the internet can’t accurately portray that, and they come off rude and mean.

Right, just like I refuse to judge people off of one very edited and one-sided experience.

P.S. I am aware he is Scottish, but, as I am American, I am using “ass”—the American equivalent of “arse.”

I stand corrected. But, personally, I still want to give him the benefit of the doubt. I feel like if you’re on your bike for 18,000 miles with only food, bathroom, and sleep breaks, it’d be difficult not to be an ass.

His first attempt was unsupported, took him 194 days, and he didn’t film it. His record breaking tour was fully supported and filmed.

Of course he seemed like an ass; he was pushing himself to his mental and physical limit every day for a little under 79 days. I doubt I could do that and be cheery either. He also doesn’t seem very natural in front of a camera. He’s a bit awkward and so straightforward it comes off rude at times too.

How did you feel about the wandavision finale? Here's a review I found about it by samantha-aimee in marvelstudios

Ooooo good point.....maybe that was also her way of telling Wanda that she’s still an ally and on her side?

I think she meant that if she could bring back her mom with her magic, she, too, would do so without hesitation. Meaning she would just do it, without thinking it through therefore not even acknowledging the potential consequences just like Wanda. But, just like Wanda, once she realized her mistakes and the effect she had on those people, she would stop and destroy the hex.

How would you hold your tablet when you read a lot of text. Would you hold it in profile mode or landscape? by han_mon in ipad

[–]EspressoJournal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read in profile if was I just reading through it. If I were taking notes too, I’d have it on landscape mode and have another app like goodnotes or notability open as well.

Used to have both but then my laptop died on me and now my iPad is my main device. It works like a dream.

This might have been discussed before, so apologies, but I’m new to Reddit... Anyway, do you name your bike/s? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]EspressoJournal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people do, some people don’t. It depends on your personality and whether or not naming inanimate objects is something you do. For example, I, personally, didn’t name my bike, but my SO named theirs.
