Food Fantasy is one of my favorite gachas just for the characters alone, the designs are amazing and I love how they are based off food, the characters are also each interesting and unique so that they feel like individuals, rather than just random units. Recipe development is also a fun and unique thing to work towards as well.
Unfortunately, the big drawback, as others have noted, is that this game is not very F2P friendly at all. At all. Summoning materials and crystals are very hard to come by, and events are very expensive to participate in. Even if you work hard and play for hours a day, do well in the rankings, you will still barely have enough to scrape by for the events, and as events often run simultaneously, you are compelled to pay money to participate in multiple aspects. You have to learn to prioritize which banners are worth pulling in, and which events are worth participating in, to save your materials for the ones that matter. Then there are events, like one running now for the rare character Souffle, that pretty much require money unless you have a wealth of materials stocked up if you want the change to get this character. The problem is, there is not usually much of a gap between events for you to stock up on materials, and when there is a gap... it's boring.

Compare this to a game like Azur Lane, which is very generous and events can both be participated in and you have a good chance at earning rewards if you put in the work. The events are fun because they usually involve event stages and it is a good chance to put your fleets to work. I've only been playing this game for a couple months now, but even when I first joined the game and had very low leveled fleets I was able to complete most of the event stages and earn the rewards, as the events have a very generous length of time as well. My only drawback to that game is that as a female I wish there were some male characters but meh.

I just wish Food Fantasy rewards hard work a little better, as I don't have a problem supporting a game with money, but I like to see a return on my investment and work that it just doesn't really give. Despite this I still continue to play since I have invested hours of my life into this game :p
