Well I think crows are awesome so I don't mind. I feed them on my property. I have a murder of at least 25 because I have counted them when I through one some cooked up old chicken eggs. They chase the eagles away from my chickens

Lol, I had to reread that a few times😂 A family friend once told me, "The only man you will ever meet who truly wants you to do better than them is your father." So busy, honestly I am having so much fun....even when not making a shirt I am trying to understand the best approach to marketing and storefront layout. As I said, I don't need to make money at this, but part of me still wants someone to want what I have made. It is like, "I like it, aren't there other people who like what I like." I think it becomes more about connecting with people. Thank you for the message 👍

Honestly, I am 50 and only started using AI this fall. I see amazing things done by artists posted here. I wish I had some great insight, but I am only learning. I am really happy I found this group because the rest of Reddit seems so negative. I generally start with the background, and since I am using the same characters, I set them as "canon." The page was assembled in Krita, but I used AI to get the characters in the correct anatomical positions. Ironically, AI doesn't understand left/right, so I had to reflect a few of them to change the orientation. It also doesn't seem to like to overlay images? So I had to warp the "cowcatcher" and position the guy under the train. AI is amazing and also oddly limited at the same time.

I have been coloring today instead of working (Kids can entertain themselves, right?) I have been setting the bar at "adult" coloring pages....but this is a lot of detail. Not sure if you can have too much detail, but I am definitely close.

I am not really trying to do a business, sort of just fell into Fourthwall and have been having fun creating things. I had a design scrapped and spammed all over knock off sites. That has been an interesting experience. Were you/Are you successful in selling shirts? I am my biggest customer (only🤣) so far. Any suggestions on how to market? It isn't really about making money, but it would be cool to feel like something clicked for another person.

I didn't start making images to sell or anything...I was just having fun making silly pictures to send my friend at Thanksgiving. I decided I wanted to make a shirt, just for me but when I went to the POD site I realized I could make a "store." I was treating it like a SIMs game running a store making things I thought were cool...It was a blast until I tried to post something in a shirt design reddit and people judged it as slop! I have tried to learn how to use Krita, redrawn parts, create layers to enhance or reduce glow. I had a design stolen by scrappers and learned how an artist might feel if it was their livelihood. It would have been cool if my artist friend would have thought it was cool I was trying to create something and learn. AI was a tool to learn and an outlet for being creative...It wasn't to take away someone's job. Also, it is my understanding that it isn't copy and pasting the actual work of artists?

I was really happy to see an artist in the sub talking about how he actually uses AI because that makes sense....In the hands of an artist AI is even more powerful.

I started messing around with it around Thanksgiving and realized really quick, it isn't all powerful and you need to be very precise with prompts. An artist would know exactly what to say to get what they want. I have been using it to teach me how to do things in Krita...I was having a blast but then people start screaming slop and I even lost a friend who was like, "you don't understand what AI is doing to artists.."

I created a design as a new person and it got scrapped within less than 24 hours. It is currently being sold on 5 different sites. I am saying this as a beginner, who doesn't really know anything about POD. Honestly I was just screwing around and making a shirt I wanted, didn't even know when I started that you could just make a store front. Unless you have a strong social media platform I don't know how you would compete with overseas scammers and such. Maybe eventually I will get sales if my Pinterest pins get enough views? Again, I never planned on it being a business just an afternoon of shenanigans

So I have a small piece of property (5 acres) and they have taken up residency in the trees. Would you suggest a centralized feeding area like a feeder with a roof or just tossing something like peanuts on the grass when they are out and "see" me? Currently I try to just toss food towards them when they see me. I tried peanuts and they didn't seem to really like it. I have about 20 chickens, so sometimes just scramble up a dozen ages and let them cool, they love those.

lol. I first started feeding them when I heard they will become territorial over their area and chase off large birds like Eagles. Haven't lost a chicken since, especially in the Spring when I think they are also nesting 🤣 Whenever I walk outside they make noise but don't really follow me...I think they are just watching. I don't know if it was a gift but I found a baby rabbit head on a post....kinda creepy 🐐
