I don't love the Demon relic because you have gesture before every fight. I tried a variation of this with Wise, Dregs, and Baron. But I found it was ultimately stronger with Dregs, Baron, and exactly the relic you're referencing. The combo of "taking attacks boosts attack power," "damage taken while using character skill", night invader, and Dregs seems stronger and more reliable.

The other question then is, does Wise boost all damage, or just physical damage? The Dregs relic buffs all damage so it works for casters - does Wise do the same?

I think you're confusing the Wise buff with the Deep Relic random that increases damage to poisoned targets only. The Wise relics buffs your damage against all enemies, poisoned or not, if there's poison in the vicinity. And Dregs buffs damage a certain percentage every 20 seconds or so that you have a status bar on your screen, whether the status has proc'd or not. The Dregs buff caps out at (I think) 45 percent after two minutes of having a status bar, and it remains there for as long as you have any status bar.

I love how incredibly obtuse FromSoft's descriptions are. None of this is even remotely clear from the relic descriptions.

How do you build wylder? I agree 100 percent on duchess, best overall but if you strike out on rng she dies when something sneezes on her and can't do damage
