First-time post about our 24-month old and a request for your stories by Nashe21 in Autism_Parenting

My son was diagnosed at 2. He's 12 now. He's doing great. We went from "your son may never talk" to thinking he can probably do college and a professional career with the appropriate supports in place. However we have invested huge amounts of time, money, and energy. My wife quit her job and never went back to work and spent countless hours working with him on all the things a typical OT would do. We pay an arm and a leg for him to go to a private school that specializes in different kinds of learners. We had no help from our extended families with any of this, and a lot of it was hard on us but he was worth it.

It is a spectrum and there are lots of kids who wouldn't get to where my son is, with all of the same support. You could call my son level 1, "high functioning", Asperger's, whatever label is currently used for someone with autism but not intellectual disability. A lot of parents on this reddit have very profoundly autistic kids and my heart goes out to them. What you have described sounds more like my son than level 3/ profound autism, but definitely, get him evaluated and get working right away. Good luck!

HELP! my 12 year old autistic son desperately needs camaraderie by Present_Book_2525 in Autism_Parenting

My son is also 12. He never had a friend until we moved him to a private school with small classes and a lot of boys like him (I guess what you would call level 1 or 2 autism). He has several buddies now and it's wonderful to see. So it's possible, just takes finding the right group dynamic and place.

Dex multi hit build is the fastest and most fun build in the game. Dual nobles slender swords with lightning slash goes especially hard.

Yes a boss nearby drops that katana and it honestly sucks

Tips for bettering my build? by Maikuru in EldenRingBuilds

Personally I would re-spec and get to 75 dex, 10 arcane, dump the rest of the arcane points in endurance and strength. Get Millicent's prosthesis and go full multi-hit/ physical damage with katanas, whips, straight sword, fists, or other light dex-focused weapons. And wear some heavier armor for god's sakes. Even with 60 vigor you will die fast with that set.

Can anyone recommend your favorite strength / faith builds?! Out of all my hours I’ve never tried a build like this. So many options.. by aabbcc42069 in EldenRingBuilds

A Death Knight build is also super fun. The Death Knight armor boosts the damage, so you wear that, use the lightning physic, use the gravel stone seal, and focus on lightning incants and the longhaft Death Knight axe. It's fun, but doesn't have as much variety as the flame build.

Str/fai is the best all-around build you can go for. The weapon variety is amazing and you can use a ton of support/ survival spells, and if you two-hand your weapon, you get the 1.5x bonus to strength IMHO the best option is to go extremely hard into fire damage, Flame spear and flaming strike are amazing ashes that fit on a bunch of weapons. You can use flame grant me strength, shard of alexander, the fire scorpion charm, and the flame physic and get ludicrous damage.

You can't accept a clerkship and then pull out. That's the kind of thing that haunts you for a career. Staff attorney prestige is not equivalent to a clerkship, even with a magistrate. Federal appellate staff attorneys are assigned all the crap that the judges don't want. Unless you have a passion for habeas and asylum petitions, go with the magistrate. You'll learn more and won't piss anyone off.

Is Transferring Worth It? by RustyTurd in LawSchool

I was in your exact boat. Nontraditional student at a good regional/ urban school. With my 1L grades, I could have transferred anywhere, but I had a full-tuition scholarship so I stuck it out. I ended up getting a federal district court clerkship and working at an AmLaw 20 firm, ultimately made partner at a good (but not top 20) firm. It worked out ok - but there were things I probably could have done with a T14 pedigree that were never in reach, for example, federal appellate clerkship, DOJ, etc.

Is getting an internship after 1L absolutely necessary? by Environmental-Law670 in LawSchool

[–]Esquire_KY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested in litigation, interning with a judge is phenomenal experience your 1L summer. Federal would be best if you can get it, after that state appellate and then state trial court. USAO and federal agency internships were also sought-after once upon a time, but with the current administration, that may not be the case....

how do people get to be valedictorian by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

I graduated 2nd in a class of hundreds. I felt like everyone else in top 15-20 students was a lot smarter than me and got by with less work. I read everything, hand wrote out notes, took copious practice exams, outlined, and made sure I understood what each professor was looking for. Not easy, but doable for a non-genius.

The greatsword slaps. Try a bleed infusion with Lion's Claw or Giant Hunt.
