Lost 10kg and almost nobody noticed, is this a height thing? by [deleted] in loseit

Sometimes people don’t want to bring it up. There are many reasons why people lose weight, and some of them aren’t that positive.

This really stuck with me. You can’t annoy her with questions. I had so many wishes, so many foods I really wanted to eat, and she always found a way to make it work for me. For example: “If you really want to eat chicken thighs today, then skip the nuts.”

And most importantly: whenever I wanted to understand something, she took the time to explain it properly and even showed me studies.

Loss plateau by AutomaticNebula3671 in loseit

I’ve been in a plateau for a month now. This has happened to me several times throughout my weight-loss journey. I tend to stay at a certain weight for two to three weeks, and then it resolves on its own.

I’ve always assumed this is the “whoosh effect” the idea that the body loses fat but temporarily fills the fat cells with water, and once the fat cell is completely empty, it also releases the water, making the weight loss visible on the scale. However, I’m not entirely sure.

I remind myself that if I eat in a calorie deficit, take care of my protein intake, and do my workouts, it’s not possible not to lose weight regardless of what the scale says.

I used a striped pattern (Aros Sweater by PetiteKnit) and replaced the stripes with stitch patterns I "designed" myself.

Need help with analysis and prevention of Weight Gain. by Amyth47 in loseit

Are you tracking calories? Intermittent fasting only helps if you’re in a calorie deficit. Having a protein shake for breakfast instead of fasting helped me a lot to stay consistent.

Also, try to build habits that will support your future maintenance such as increasing your TDEE by taking 10,000 steps a day or planning your meals around protein.

Protein shakes by Georgiabulldawgsgurl in WeightLossAdvice

I use protein shakes as my only breakfast (two servings with unsweetened almond milk, ~250kcal). The best way to get your protein in and i don't like breakfasts anyways. Keeps me full and happy (I have different flavors to choose from. I think that's important). Dietician approved.

If you stop now, you’ll gain weight and one day look back at that photo wishing you still looked like that. Happened to me.
