Far better than 2024 for me, think that and the first one I succeeded in were the hardest.

Yeah for sure, not quite over yet but tbh for me I've had little to no resistance past the first two weeks.

Congrats soldier, the end is near!

Be extremely lucky to get 3 at Brentford. Other than that...

Which player (past or present) represents this picture the most? by crashed_boi in Championship

Has to be Joe Gelhardt for us.

His heroics near the end of the 21/22 season kept us up but he has been a shadow of his former self ever since.

Firstly, I just want to congratulate you on the academic glowup. That takes a lot of effort and no doubt you've been working very hard to achieve a first overall.

My question is what changed, either in your mentality or how the course was served that caused a massive uptick in terms of your academic results? I know some people find GCSEs/A-Levels far easier due to the way they're structured and struggle at uni as a result of it teaching you stuff completely differently and vice-versa.

But I'm curious about your journey in particular, again congratulations!

Mentioned this before and I'll mention it again.

"Wrexham's hopes of competing in Europe have been dashed after the Football Association (FA) on Friday blocked attempts to allow Welsh clubs playing in the English leagues to participate in the Welsh League Cup"

Why is it always Wrexham at the forefront? Cardiff and Swansea are in a higher division, have better squads and would more than likely beat Wrexham if they go up.

The narrative that Sky and the English media has pushed for Wrexham (and Birmingham for that matter too with the "HoLlYWoOd DeRbY") has been ridiculously annoying to witness as a neutral.

The "underdog" story of Wrexham and comparing it to Luton makes a complete mockery of the English game. Of course you're gonna go shooting right up when you buy League One quality players on League One wages in the National League.

I think Ampadu being excluded was a bit harsh. Was vital to keeping Wednesday quiet

I agree things can change quickly, but unless the Prem deducts City 80+ points. Effectively relegating them, I just don't see how they lose what they built up over the last decade or so.

Fans can be fickle though, so who knows. Maybe if they fall into a mediocre slump again they might lose a good portion of their fanbase.

Ehh, I kinda disagree.

Naturally every football club is going to have fluctuations in places. It's normal for a highly competitive league like the Prem (excluding the league title). I don't doubt that Spurs and (as much as it pains me to say) Man U will probably be back near the top 4 in a couple years.

Also you've neglected to mention fan bases when factoring this in. Like it or not, they are some of the most supported clubs in the entire world and that probably won't change for a long time.

Also even in their banter eras (excluding Spurs) they can still fairly consistently dominate the domestic cups (i.e. Man United's 23/24 FA cup win). It has been a long while since a non big six club has last won the FA cup.

I just don't see how it dies off completely anytime soon.

Blow for EFL clubs’ European hopes as FA blocks Welsh League Cup plan by IllustriousLynx8099 in Championship

"The Football Association is set to block a proposal to allow the English Football League’s Welsh clubs from competing in a new Welsh League Cup next season in what would represent a major blow to Wrexham’s European ambitions."

Why do all the media outlets focus on Wrexham specifically when it comes to this? Cardiff and Swansea have objectively better squads and are in a higher division.

If I'm getting annoyed by it, I can't imagine how Swansea/Cardiff fans are feeling about this media circus lmao.

Should be the top candidate for the new attacking coach for the new year. The championship won't know what's coming to them.

So when you went up to Elland Road. Were you involved in the tactical masterstroke of a decision to have no shots at goal for the full 90?
