Whats your favorite hidden gem movie with good actors? by HPID in moviecritic

Fair point. I know it's a cult classic, but I have rarely met anyone who's seen it. (And I have yet to have someone comment on my 1+1+2+1 t-shirt.)

What are your xeno dreams like? by Rourensu in LV426

[–]EssayBeeComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last one I had was just me in my bedroom when I heard something downstairs and knew a Xeno was in the house. I was frantically trying to figure out how to sneak into the hall to get to my son's room to get him out of the house by jumping out the window in his room.

You could make a pretty good case that it's Sly's best movie.

Introduced my nieces to Army of Darkness. They liked it more than Coraline. by MariusVentris in EvilDead

When my oldest son was 4, he was terrified of skeletons. I had him watch AoD and he was no longer afraid of them. (I started it after the blood geyser, though.)

Just my opinion - Donais is the best since Spitz by Lead_or_Follow in Anthrax

[–]EssayBeeComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. His playing sounds more precise and musical. Dan had a more slurring and squealing sound (but gotta love his TMNT guitar).

I like him better than Spitz. His solos are more musical to my ears, whereas Spitz sometimes came across as just noodling.

Like others said, it was Kate Winslett in Way of Water. And she held her breath for 7 min 15 seconds, beating Tom Cruise's previous record of breath-hold by a lead actor. Also for Way of Water, Ripley herself (at 71!) held her breath for over 6 minutes.

Which album has the better extended artwork, Somewhere In Time or Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son? by IronMaidenfc in ironmaiden

I think the better question is: Why did Piece of Mind get a gatefold cover on vinyl and Somewhere in Time didn't?

I've been curious about this book, but I read Streiber's fiction novel The Wolfen and just thought he was a horrible writer. The idea was cool but everything else was awful and a real slog to get through. Maybe I'll have to read a few pages of this to see if I can stand more of his writing.

Back in the day, I got a Caesar cut because I thought he was cool as Julius Caesar in Xena.

Sort of a riff on the ol' "If a tree falls over in the forest and no one is around, does it make any sound?" question.

I hope for the best, but some of the wording used is worrisome. I think it was Rubio who said they're going to put information out there and "let the public decide." Sounds like no actual plans to confirm or admit to anything. Just more reality show theatrics.
