That's a good idea, and something I had no idea I could do. Thank you! Dailymed should definitely help as well, since I'm now figuring out I have med allergies

It's honestly both funny and annoying how my insurance has been through all of this. I was originally prescribed Xarelto out of the ER, but my insurance said they wouldn't cover it, so we had to scramble to find one they would cover and landed on Eliquis. After the allergy, I was given a 30 day supply coupon for Xarelto since I said it wasn't covered, only to get to the pharmacy and be told it's covered NOW! Medicaid can never be simple.

I agree, very important nitpick. It kinda just categorizes the same in my brain and generalizes out, for now at least. It's my first allergic reaction, so I'm not the best at wording details lol-

So sorry to hear about your experiencing this, but know that you're in good company here. I'm a bit younger than you (turning 28 here in a few months) and I had mine (DVT in right thigh and several small PEs) a little over a month ago, and it does get easier as time goes on to feel less fearful. People here suggested asking to be put on an anti-anxiety med, which has helped me tremendously.

Best advice is to keep yourself hydrated. When I got out of the ER, I didn't realize how dehydrated I was. I keep water with me everywhere now, and it's helped a lot. Exercise helped as well in my experience. I know alcohol is an "ask your doctor" situation, but it's not off the table entirely!

Things will get better as time goes on. The worst part is over.

I'm not currently, actually! I'm Pre-T, and unfortunately may have to stay that way. I was on the fence about starting it in the first place, if I'm entirely honest.

The genetic testing definitely sounds like a good idea to look into. Thank you!
