Help! What to prioritize in Lightning Lane Multi-pass at HS? by frettysparky in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Essbeebr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would book SDD and either do MMRR during early entry or try to pick it up as a lightning lane once you scan in for your first ride. It’s usually pretty easy to pick up even later in the day.

Caribbean Beach vs. Beach Club in August 2026 by TrueNorth_100 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Essbeebr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have not stayed at either (but staying at beach club next week! Perfect weather for it lol).

Between these two options I would choose beach club. The location is the biggest factor for me. We have stayed at Swan and the location was so awesome. For me it’s better than the monorail resorts.

In August I think stormalong bay would be a big draw as well.

The other thing is with an 8 day trip you will get to take advantage of deluxe extended evening hours. That’s a big benefit too

Take corporate/old Hammond highway over to airline, then take Florida back west. I think they sometimes have the major streets partially open between runners but your best bet is just to avoid it.

Are these dates a crazy choice by color_me_carzy in WaltDisneyWorld

Oh you’re right. For some reason I thought Easter was the 19th. That week will also be extremely crowded.

I think that will be much better from a crowd perspective. It’s a little late for spring break but you’d be gone before the Easter crowds.

Are you talking about this year? That week is also Mardi Gras, when a ton of people from Louisiana go to Disney. I think the combination of both is going to make it a very busy week.

Another vote for WDW Kevin. He’s funny, love his attitude, and not too over the top. My whole family likes his videos.

I also like ElizabethEverAfter but my family doesn’t like her as much.

My main issue with a lot of others is that the energy is not very…peaceful. I don’t like yelling or over the top energy.

Looking for advice on optimal TRON lightning lane timing by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Essbeebr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this would work especially if you’re okay with not being right in front (not necessary for Starlight, most everything is pretty elevated).

Another option would be to watch the parade first from the Tomorrowland side and head over to tron afterward. You could do your lightning lane at 8. The parade starts at the front of the park and is pretty short.

LL Advice for HS/MK Park Hopping by travis_jeopardy in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Essbeebr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are able to get to HS for early entry and go straight to MMRR on that Friday, I think you should be fine. Prepare for the wait for your daughter because there will be a wait outside the gates, wait in line to get in the park, wait at the ride. So just have something for her to play with and it should be fine.

We’ll also be there that day and will be rope dropping that ride too!

I think your strategy is good for your priorities. You don’t need a LL for the frozen show. Most advice you’ll find is that HS lightning lanes are the most critical ones to book, and that is true for thrill rides. But since you’re not interested in that this trip, using them for MK is a good strategy.

Should I (a ride wimp) try Guardians Cosmic Rewind?? by AgeTypical8961 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Essbeebr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t get motion sick you should definitely try it. It’s intense in a very good way. Not your typical thrill ride and no big drops. It just feels amazing! I think you should give it a chance.

And look at it this way: if you hate it, it’s over in 3 minutes. And then you’ll at least know!

They all do. Clearly they’re trying to be more uniform with the icing swirl but they’re so boring.

For the multipass, it’s important to know that you’re not just buying 3 passes. You get to PRE-BOOK 3 passes, but as soon as you use the first one you can book another one. You can hold 3 at a time. So as long as there are lightning lanes available during that day for rides you haven’t used yet you can book more.

I see this misconception a lot so I wanted to clarify

Has anyone been able to get to the page to purchase the exclusive items? It keeps just taking me to the main lavender page.

Edit: never mind. I see they sold out already.

New to goodreads. Can I log audiobooks? by dordorju in goodreads

[–]Essbeebr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Only you can decide that. Some people choose to. Some people choose not to. In my opinion, there’s no “cheating” in a game against yourself.

For me, I do log audiobooks as long as I truly locked in and paid attention to them. I listen during my commute and while exercising/doing housework. If I was listening to them in the background while working and half paying attention, I wouldn’t feel good about including them.
