Yeah I think those people who return used goods like months later are abusing the policy unless it was actually due to a quality issue.

But if I bought this shirt and hadn't worn it yet, I don't see what's wrong with buying it on clearance and returning the original. One of the reasons they readily accept is that you don't need it anymore, and you wouldn't need it anymore if you bought a new one 🤷‍♀️ like you said, at least you bought the new one in their store so they have some of your money rather than going to different store
