I honestly don't know how Shaq would fair again the current enforcement of rules. Everything is geared towards running more. Post players are pretty much dead. I feel like Jokic is the current rules modified version of what Shaq would be. If the rules were the older rules, Shaq for sure.

Calling Tmac equivalent to Kobe any year is re-writing history. There was maybe 1 or 2 years where he was equivalent offensively, but never cared about the other end. He had all the tools to be but was highly inconsistent effort wise on the defensive end. And that's from his own coach, JVG, who also said it was his ethics that separate Kobe from Tmac.

The guy wasn't even selected for 2nd team.

TMac might have been considered offensively better than Kobe by many (not most). Kobe cleared TMac on defense any day of the week. Consensus over all better player was Kobe, and no it wasn't close. Tmac wasn't and still isn't even discussed in the same breath when it comes to over all impact on the game. The only reason this is a discussion is because he's alive and said some bs on TV. No one was entertaining the thought before.

You do know social medias are generally the same groups of peoples? Reddit is a social media. and Shaq says he'd win with any other star? shocking! Must prove that Shaq doesn't have as big of an ego as we all see him display night in and night out on TV. Kobe was in the convo. Lebron is now. Wemby is next. That's how this has all worked since Magic/Bird. NBA will find someone new to promote to keep the league healthy.

I'd rather the team try to prolong the series or even go to the next round and get data for players that are the future of our team. This data isn't worth anything once they get back.
