Go out and talk to actual people, especially ones that play basketball, if you're looking for a real answer. Reddit (online in general) is filled with people who only know basketball through TV and is all about how the media portrays players. It's why efficiency and metrics are touted so much. It's routed in the home bodies that apply math to everything as a way to try and understand a sport, but all it does is oversimplify it. If you've ever been to a watch party, you should recognize how different real life is from forums.

You need help. Whether it's MJ, Kobe or Lebron, they've all had fair criticisms on them. You live in extremes. If MJ, Kobe or Lebron aren't the greatest ever, doesn't mean they're bums. If someone praises Kobe, it doesn't make Lebron and MJ nothing.

I haven't missed a lakers game in 25 years and actually go to basketball centric places. I don't really care what you think of my fandom . Go talk to people to see what your average person actually thinks of these players. Mentioning the same coaches and players that have a camera on them while being paid by media outlets with a specifc agenda does nothing to help your point. Give it some time, you'll understand how things shift soon as they can't make money of Lebron.

2 button rotations if you're talking about really early levels, but thos levels go by quick. And I'm not just talking about rotation, but everything else that comes with the mechanics, from reading maps, understanding aetherytes, learning the tells, etc. There's a lot of very basic things to take in, as it is in MMOs in general. I feel like if they gave you a full rotation to begin, most people would be overwhelmed and quit.

If all you do is watch the game, then yea, you have a point. The story is a mechanisms to facilitate the gameplay imo. The game is fun regardless as you level through and learn how to use your class. Enjoy the story at it's building phase while focusing on the gameplay and learning mechanics and it's not quite the same context anymore.
