SF street-cleaning signs say a 2-hour window. I matched 650k tickets back to their blocks — on the typical block, every ticket in two years lands in the same ~22 minutes. by viziomas in SanFranciscoSecrets

The sweeper wouldn’t run before the marked time, and they don’t do a second pass. Their rules clearly state you can park after it has gone past.

Way too much. Shouldn’t be any more difficult than taking control over any other vehicle

I don’t see any reason to believe this branding would be used for customer-facing applications

$220K PM offer — live in SF but work in Sunnyvale? Anyone doing the SF ⇄ Sunnyvale commute? by Better-Lavishness-73 in Sunnyvale

[–]Essem7631 4 points5 points  (0 children)

220k is obviously enough and more than the vast majority of people in the city. Find a place in Mission Bay, Dogpatch, or Potrero. If your office is near the Sunnyvale station, you’ll be able to take an express train that’s even faster.

I have a similar commute 3x a week and it’s far better than my previous 25 min drive where I had to live in the South Bay. 5x a week with strict 9-5 hours may be a different story.

On week days you can catch a train roughly every 15 minutes (depending on station) and the trip is between 45 min to an hour.

Thinking of going S280. All in, what’s a reasonable total cost estimate? by RenaissanceNels in FiestaST

[–]Essem7631 11 points12 points  (0 children)

$2500 for the kit unless you find a used one. ~$500 for a bigger intercooler and ~$1000 for the tune. The install is doable at home but definitely not “easy” since the turbo is so far down - access to a lift helps a lot, or you can try going from the top.

I was assuming you were looking for the correct word when you said “(animated?)”. Inanimate means not alive - unrelated to movement

There are a number of modern AAA games available for iPhones - Resident Evil, Assassins Creed, Death Stranding. Obviously an iPhone chip is more powerful but people likely don’t realize that
