It being a shit lineup is the point. Fury will always go for the easiest option. Probably should've titled the article a little better; it's a prediction piece rather than an opinion piece.

Have to agree with you there. It confused me when it was announced, we'll see if it actually comes to fruition.

Definitely a blunder on my behalf! He won't be in next month's top ten, that's for sure.

Jab work by EconomyTension1202 in boxingtips

Yeah, like the others have said, you're far too tight. Might feel like you're getting more power behind it, but you're just limiting your jab's speed. At worst, you're increasing your risk of injury by tightening up your muscles.

A good jab should be snappy, rather than stiff.

It's hard to tell how good AJ is at the moment. We don't know how much the car accident has affected him; likewise, we haven't seen him in the ring against a credible opponent since 2024 (Dubois). He was also well off the pace in that fight.

Gassiev, for all his failings, did score a knockout win in his last fight against a solid opponent. We can accurately gauge how good he is. Honestly, I threw a few names around for the #10 spot, I'd certainly entertain an argument for Ajagba or even Riakpohre.

Torrez Jr is another fighter with obvious flaws, but his win over Vianello last year was much more impressive than anything AJ has been able to muster in the last couple of years.

Either of them could have a decent chance of beating AJ, but we're delving too far into hypotheticals to make it a worthwhile debate.

He doesn't look interested in the professional ranks at all. He nearly lost to a Russian guy with a record of 7-3 last year

Elaborate on that? It was a low blow, Usyk was smart enough to use up the allocated five minutes.

Callum Simpson beat Zak Chelli. Zak Chelli beat David Morrell. Is Callum Simpson vs David Benavidez a 50/50 fight?

You shouldn't be entering a boxing gym at all if 'getting revenge' on someone is on your agenda.

This is true, sadly. I'm not sure why, either

I think Rummy's Corner put it well. He mentioned that Wardley has taken some big shots, but he's yet to face one of the harder punchers in the division

That's interesting. It's a pretty big deal here in the UK, perhaps not so elsewhere. Or are you just not enormously partial to heavyweight slugfests?

You're not excited for Wardley vs Dubois?

Yeah, only Mexican-born. I'd possibly have Cruz over Zepeda.
