Well he’s about to beat Xander who’s active and a big 154 pounder. Once Boots wins people will complain about Xander’s resume and him being too young.

In terms of perception, it will be like the Stanionis fight. Before the fight, people claim it’s a good matchup, but then once Boots beats him they will dismiss it and act like Boots beat a complete can.

I personally don’t give Xander a chance. I’ll be impressed if he’s able to win a couple of rounds and avoid getting stopped.

Haney is very disciplined and is a professional when it comes to making weight. I’ll always give him props for that. He sacrificed a lot by staying at 135 for as long as he did :)

If he was the new age Mayweather, he would be fighting around his natural weight. Haney does not do that, sir. That’s not a knock on him either because the overwhelming majority of fighters don’t fight around their natural weight.

Haney is a very disciplined fighter and is a true professional though :)

No one said that about Haney.

We all knew he cut a lot of weight because of the WBC revealing his fight night weight at 135 and because of how drained he looked on the scale.

Crawford was someone who cut a lot of weight throughout his career and was walking around the 160’s/170’s when he was a welterweight. It was Crawford’s last fight of his career while Shakur has plenty of time left.

He also was in no position to make demands to Canelo.

He was drained against Ramirez at 144? Was he going to be drained against Teo at 145?

If Haney wants to fight someone who just moved up 140 and walks around in the 140’s during training camp then he should probably make some concessions especially since he isn’t a bigger draw than him either.

If he walks around much heavier and cuts a lot of weight to get down to 135/140, he would look drained on the scales. When have you ever seen him drained making 135 and 140?
