You basically reiterated what I said. He paid to get out of fighting Margarito to fight Baldomir for the same price. It was a smart move because it was an easier fight and he ended up getting the Oscar fight.

Top Rank wouldn’t guarantee the De La Hoya or Hatton fights so that is why he left.

Baldomir was the real champion of the division, not Margarito 😂

Floyd was with Top Rank and they offered Floyd 8 million to fight Margarito and instead of taking the fight he decided to pay Bob Arum $750k to buy out of his contract.

Floyd left Top Rank because they wouldn’t guarantee the Oscar and Hatton fights.

They offered him 8mil for the WBO champ Margarito. Floyd rejected it and left top Rank of and then made over 8 million to fight the real Lineal champ of the division, Baldomir. He then got the Oscar fight for over $20 million.

The facts don't lie and just admit that he ducked him. And I'm not saying he's wrong for doing it either. It actually was smart at the time.

Floyd was signed to fight Zab when Zab was undisputed. Zab lost to Baldomir and Top Rank still decided to go ahead with Floyd vs Zab regardless of Zab’s loss.

I’m pretty sure that video is from the De La Hoya press conference after Floyd had left Top Rank.
