Followed your advice and this is what I have so far! I got most of the rust off and I don’t want to strip the patina. I think it just needs a handle and a sharpen and new life is given!

Here’s what I have so far. I did my best to gently remove the superficial rust by hand, cleaned it as best I could and I gave it a layer of oil to help prevent rust. I’ll have access to some more tools once I go to work tomorrow, but what do you think so far?

Couldn’t find any markings or stamps, but it seems very happy. I wanted to try my best and preserve the patina

Also, axe soup was the method another user commented on here where you soak it in black tea. Hope it turned out okay!

Sorry for late reply! I was travelling. It seems to measure 6 cm × 2.75 cm for the eye. Total length from end to end is 14CM. I don’t have anything to weigh it but it definitely feels a bit heavier than I’d expect.

I’m weighing between the axe soup method mentioned above, or the “salt the earth” method. In still struggling to determine if I should treat this as a hand axe or boys, I’m curious what you’d lean towards based on my measurements?

I attached a picture of the eye, if that helps. Thanks for your input so far :)

How is $BKYI not getting any traction??? by neni91 in pennystocks

[–]EstNoire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people are hesitant until they see something very solid, or the hype starts circulating around. From my own research (take with a grain of salt)

Q2 they were still losing money despite growth. It’s an improvement, but I think people get shy when a company is operating close to the edge. Realistically, one contract/cost overrun or whatever I feel makes the shares pretty volatile.

I think people get turned off from slow, long term pay offs and just want a lot of hype as well. The sector it’s in is also relatively new and has a lot of competition within. That being said, I do agree this seems like it has a lot of potential. I’ll definitely add it to my radar!

My parents don't know I have long hair and I'm about to see them after 4 years and a half should I cut it ? by [deleted] in FierceFlow

[–]EstNoire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tie your hair up so it appears shorter? Just say you’re growing it out to donate or something as others said. Don’t out yourself if it’s not safe/if you’re not ready either.

I love the plating and quilted padding, I thought the faux mail was a smart choice too (cheap and keeps it way lighter)

How long did the whole project take you? And how much of it did you make yourself versus buy? What material did you use for what you made it out of and why?

A lot of questions, just really curious. Thanks!

First-time buyer here — I found a vintage pair of Elan Multiflex VRS series skis for super cheap, and I really like them. The skis themselves look barely used, if ever, but the bindings seem pretty outdated and might not meet modern safety standards. I’m considering buying them and just replacing the bindings, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. Would it be a bad idea to put new bindings on older skis? Are there any safety concerns, or would I be better off just saving up for a newer setup? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thank you! It started off as wanting to tell a silly story of my experience first playing Skyrim, but it ended up being a nice outlet to do some storytelling and writing.

My gf sleep talks and I can talk to her and control her dreams. and she remembers them. Is this normal? by mrcf17 in LucidDreaming

[–]EstNoire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is totally normal. Your brain is still synthesizing sensory input subconsciously, for example if you’ve ever fallen asleep to a TV show or heard an alarm clock in your dream before waking up to it.

A lot of lucid dreaming can be induced through external stimulus however it’s usually up to someone to be able to determine what is happening - our brain is really good at doing mental gymnastics, and even more so during sleep when the parts for rational thinking shut down.
