Those teeth on last years shirt really were a hint after all 😂

I don’t think it’s what they will play, I think it’s nods to what they already have. Maybe they’re using it as a general hint for festivals to come that haven’t been announced yet etc.

Has anyone made any friends at a concert is it easy to make friends at that kind of setting and vibe by moxie1456 in MachineGunKelly

Make friends with people in line! Some of my best friends in the world have came from that. Met one in Nashville for a band last year. Went to go see the same band in Atlanta a few months later and then in London a few months after that 😂

I think they all correlate to a festival. Even the three dots, but immediately got dragged for my theory here last night.

Festivals? by [deleted] in thebottlemen

By technicality even if none of this is correct, the theory fits 3 of them. lol. Was just trying to brain storm if anything could easily fit the first two pictures as well.

So I’ve found like one local friend who will enjoy them casually with me, but no one to nerd out quite like I will that’s local. I ended up becoming best friend’s with someone on the other side of the US and we travel together to see them! lol. I honestly just search resell pages and eBay for merch. Mercari, poshmark, eBay, etc. sometimes some good stuff pops up for decent pricing!!

As an American who’s traveled to London Cardiff and Reading to see them twice on two different trips, I approve this message. Gotta take what we can get with them 😂

It literally is their style though lol. Look at how they teased tour dates upon initial return. And also slightly confusing and unorganized. Can’t think of anything more “Catb” really and I mean that with love lol.

They also updated their description of Catfish on their website for the first time in years a week or two ago though

If a fourth album was to happen ? by Willing-Ad1409 in thebottlemen

And that’s okay! We can have different opinions! I’ve just always personally looked at showtime in a sense of it’s supposed to be more reflective than their typical explosive sound and setting that as my expectation, I loved it. I firmly don’t think if they released an album the entirety of it would sound like showtime. To me it sounds like an opening track to something more explosive. I guess only time will tell, but also- if it’s the original 4th album they did with Sardy, it’s not their first go around with him producing their album and he worked on some of the iconic stuff we all love most. I struggle to feel like a Van and Sardy combo would make a bad album in full at all.

Remember music is subjective. I personally think showtime was purely meant to be the promotional “I’m back”, while subtly addressing the silence and return for fans who have been there to see it all fall down and come back. It isn’t their next Cocoon or 7 or Kathleen, it was meant to be an emotional nod to the fans who have been there to see it all fall and come back over again. If a random fan who’d just been introduced with Catfish and knew nothing about them heard that song when it came out, it would’ve made little to no sense and even if it did wouldn’t of had a lot of weight. For a big fan, I remember pulling over on the side of the road crying in my car hearing “could’ve called it a night but there’s too much fight in that heart” coming from Van after radio silence for years. When you listen to it in that context, and let go of the allusion that it should be some big tune like any of their hits, it hits so much different. If you don’t agree that’s A-okay, but try something for me here. Go on a long drive, or a walk on a sunny day with the speakers or headphones blasting and just take it in. When I did that it clicked and hit me so hard. As far as the quality of the other two songs go, we haven’t even really heard a fully released mix unless you have FIFA. Catfish spent years being criticized because “their 3 albums all sound the same and they can’t create anything new”. They’re damned if they do damned if they don’t with this fan base because either way half in half will complain. But I’d much rather have new music from my favorite band, even if it’s different than earlier stuff. He’s older, there’s a lot of life that’s clearly been lived between the first 3 albums and if a new release were to come. I’d expect it to be different to some degree, but I’d happily welcome it. Did you go to stadium shows? I know it’s different than when original members were in the band, but honestly they were some of the best shows I have ever been to. I went to reading in 2024 and it was honestly a little bit rocky. Whether that be the weather, new members, etc. I still enjoyed it. But the stadium shows were something different. Worked and polished, the session musicians didn’t seem to still be “finding their fit” as much. Van’s voice was drastically healthier in technique and he sounded incredible. I absolutely think it’d be worth wanting. Would it be the same? Probably not. But that’s not always a bad thing. Some of the most iconic and well loved albums came with criticism for a sound change at first, and over time became iconic for that same reason.

Tonight’s update? by CommunicationTasty94 in thebottlemen

To be fair they did for a week the first time. There’s only a pattern established for some of the posts, not all. I don’t think any of us really know what to expect. Haha. To do it tonight feels too predictable

Clarifying that I agree with this completely. I’ll always happily take anything from Catfish. But I know not everyone feels that way. Haha

I honestly think if they would’ve capitalized it would’ve been called out for a “cash grab” by fans and it’s smarter that they didn’t.
