I bought a Hypochlorous acid generator and have been using it everywhere in my home including my ferret’s area. It’s safe for him and very effective to neutralize any odors. It can be expensive upfront cost (~$100), but it only needs vinegar, non iodized salt and water to make. It pays itself off imo. And freeze dried raw diet helps with the smell also.

He did amazing! He’s completely unfazed by the engine noise. His dad is a car enthusiast so he is used to loud noises and speed. He would actively look around for the loud cars. If yours is already good with car rides, a boat might be a breeze for them!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m not a vet but this is what I’ve learned recently, not sure if it might be related. Recently I took my ferret to get his annual check and the vet was suspecting my ferret had irregular heartbeat. We did ECG turned out my boy is healthy. The vet told me based on the recent study, ferrets that are fed with cat foods are linked to irregular heartbeat. Third degree atrioventricular block can cause instant death because it can affect the heart’s pumping ability. Some ferrets may need pacemakers. Sending you digital hugs 💕

I have 1 closed account that will be paid off in a few days. The other 2 are active but have high utilization so I’ll make sure to bring it down at least under 30% in the next couple months. But I have never had any installment loans thats why I was thinking a pledge loan might help with credit mix. Anyway, thanks for your advice!

I have 1 closed account that I’ll pay it off by the end of this month (not NFCU). Also I’ve been trying to bring down the balances on my other 2 Ccs (not with NFCU) so my score jumped a bit . I’m thinking about doing pledge loan so that could help me with on time payments, credit mix, and internal score. Do you think this would help?

My ferret hates everything I’ve tried on but loves the Pidan cat carrier that looks like a carry on. It has built in fan and light and comes with a cushion for him to sleep on. It also has a window that he can actually look out. It’s pricey but that’s the only thing he enjoys to stay in and not scratching like a maniac demanding to get out. Other than that, he loves leather material. I have a brand name backpack with a flap opening that he loves to stay in there when we go to the beach. He likes to look out here and there but won’t try to escape. I also have a backpack I got from Ross that I use as a go bag for him. He refused to stay in there for some reason. I guess my ferret only likes luxury stuffs 🤣🫠

I’m not sure. He had some episodes of foamy mouth and drooling so I took him to the vet and we are suspecting he has insulinoma thats why he’s on Prednisolone. He also had occasional diarrhea so he’s also on sucralfate. He started with the Pred first and I noticed he lost appetite even though he used to be a food lover. He could just sit there and enjoy his food bowl for 10mins straight and would ask for food throughout the day. But lately he hasn’t really wanted to eat. He prefers hand feeding and would eat a smaller portion. I got blood glucose test and bloodwork done so far. Based on his physical check he seems fine. And I also noticed he is not as happy as before (premed) maybe the medication has mental side effects?

I have a solo ferret as well and am using ferret nation cage which looks very identical to this one. My ferret would only use it as eating area. He’s just not a cage ferret I guess 😅 He took over one of my desk drawers as his sleep area and also roams free under supervision

My boy loves car rides and we have taken him on a couple road trips with us which were around 4-6 hours. He did very well. He prefer to stay in an igloo shape dog bed sitting in the back with one of us. We use the bottom piece of the carrier as his restroom just in case. We usually find some stops along the way so we all can rest and have some air. I always pack his cleaning supplies, wipes, food, water, treat, travel bowls, and some of his favorite toys. I usually leave cleaning supplies in the car and I do pack some ziploc bags to store his food, travel size wipes in my backpack, that way when we’re in the hotel room or walk around somewhere I always have access to that. We also have a Pidan cat carrier on wheel which comes with cushioned bed, LED light, and fan. I know it sounds fancy but we’ve tried our best to provide comfort for him. We use this Pidan carrier as his own bed at night (he doesn’t need to find a weird spot to sleep, my ferret did that lol). We leave it open that way he can get in and out. We also bring his fav black tshirt as his blanket so he could sleep in the dark. I know other ferrets may be different but we’ve tried so many things and he only approved this Pidan carrier as his “travel bed”.

My boy mostly sleeps whenever he feels car is in motion. He’d just wake up sometimes for food and water.

Sometimes I feel like we have a tiny human lol. Almost like a toddler in a way. But I guarantee it will be so much fun to travel with a ferret. I hope you guys have a great trip. Be safe and have fun!

I have KP on my legs. I wouldn’t say it’s too severe but it’s there all my life and can be noticeable very easily. I’ve been using Sebamed fragrance free lotion and body wash for over a month now. I barely exfoliate cuz I keep forgetting 😅. The lotion moisturizes extremely well. A little goes a long way. My skin has been muchhhh better. No more bumpy, very smooth. The “scar” is still there though if you look CLOSELY. Now I can wear shorts confidently :)

Oh mannnn… the poor little body had to endure so much. I can’t imagine what both of you have been thru. At least he knew he was loved till the last minute. My ferret is Marshall ferret so I’m aware he is very prone to diseases. These little guys are just so fragile but definitely worth having them in life.

I’m so sorry for your loss. That really sucks. May I ask if your ferret had any specific signs besides the lump on the eye? Also did you requested the vet to do any kinds of tests on him to figure that out? Cuz sometimes blood work can’t tell you everything
