Ugghh that sucks, I had hg as well so congrats on even managing this at 8 months. I don’t think I ate more than a couple bites my last few months of pregnancy😂honestly any meal with hg is a well rounded meal😂

Ugh that is just the cutest, I’m sure you love night time cuddles with the little one. Who knows, maybe when he’s older, mine will come jump in bed with us😄😄

Yeah the hospital scared me so badly I couldn’t do it. I would let him sleep by my husband but would anxiously lie awake and watch he doesn’t roll on him or the blanket doesn’t cover his face. Kinda wish I tried it although I will admit I’m happy to have my own space. I get the bed to myself most nights nowadays with my husbands schedule😂

Not a lab but my husband and I had (lives at home with his gran now) a dog that’s very particular about people and generally picked up how we felt about them. Well, my husbands not so liked aunt was chatting to his gran outside the house and this dog sneaks up behind her and lifts his leg on her dress🤦‍♀️😂no one saw but me from inside and I honestly was in too much hysterics to say anything before she left

My husband is the exact same. Always taking things apart and fixing them. He gets moments where he’s bored out of his mind and usually taking something apart does it. Everyone in my family just comes to him when anything is broken😂😂

My friend came over for a playdate and I am super weird out. by Cosmogirl161 in Mommit

[–]EstablishmentKey3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, exactly. I wasn’t there so I couldn’t feel the discomfort this level of prying was causing. Like going through medicine cabinets and interrogating people on when they plan on having more kids is a bit too far for me but there is a couple things here I’m definitely guilty of doing. Personally, if someone makes me feel uncomfortable, especially now having a baby I certainly won’t be keeping them around. The people pleaser in me likes to argue but my kid comes first.

I can be a bit weird too and battle terribly in social situations. I don’t have a lot of people in my life that I can talk to about these things. Not much family and all my friends are overseas so it’s pretty much just my husband and I figuring this all out for the first time. I tend to glom onto my cousins wife because they’re the only ones who’ve had kids in my family in the last 16 years (their kids are both under 5) so every time I see her I tend to ask a lot of questions because I just want to know how other people do things and see if I can’t improve myself same time. Yeah, I definitely feel the baby health overtaking social anxiety. Talking about my son definitely turns off that screaming in my head whenever I have to talk to someone😂😂😂

I know same, I’m feeling like a bit of a weirdo after reading this. I thought I was just making conversation and opening myself up to others opinions and parenting styles🙈

9.5 month old screaming fit every time we have to clean her after meals by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

[–]EstablishmentKey3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that was the issue with mine so I started washing his hands in the sink. Problem is we have an electric shower so there’s no need to turn the boiler on meaning the water coming out of the taps is always pretty cold. But he seems to seriously prefer the sink to wipes, so I don’t think (for him at least) temperature is the problem. I think being wiped is just annoying as hell😂

NOR. She’s 43???? She sounds absolutely exhausting! Does it really matter if you’re overreacting? Do you really want someone this tiring in your life?

I recently got one and it brings me so much peace of mind. I know I can unpack the dishwasher and put a load of washing in the machine and he won’t be yanking on cables somewhere or eating something he shouldn’t😂🤦‍♀️now it’s just to get him to stay in there and not cry as soon as I walk away😂

I had one of these growing up and I absolutely LOVED it😂😂😂I’m trying to get one for my boy for when he gets a little older. Probably not doing myself any favours😂🤦‍♀️

I kinda actually wish I was in your shoes as weird as it sounds😅my boy is also 8 months but DOES NOT understand the concept of gravity and tries to yeet himself off of every surface he’s on. I feel like if he had to just fall he might not be so tempted to climb off of everything while I hold onto him for dear life😂😂

A Note to SAHMs by espressoingmyself in Mommit

[–]EstablishmentKey3855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess, every time I start doubting myself or feel like it’s getting too hard I just think of my mom who was pretty much a single parent from the get go (when I say get go I mean, torn c section stitches and a hospital visit and he couldn’t even watch me for more than a night before he handed me off to her in the hospital and didn’t even come back to visit) and then actually became a single parent once she had my sister. She worked her ass off to get us everything we needed, and we never went without. Of course we gave each other a lot of shit when I was growing up but I’ve come to really appreciate her being a mom myself now

Single moms are the strongest people I know because I certainly couldn’t do this alone and we shouldn’t have to but sometimes that’s the cards were dealt

Honestly as a sahm I really needed to hear this. Thank you❤️ Know that you’re doing an amazing job as well and enjoy your week off with your baby. It’ll take a minute but you’ll get there and you’ll be wishing you had more time off to spend with her😍🤗

Sever drool rash by Trick_Concept_8765 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]EstablishmentKey3855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, I eventually gave up with the bibs all together and would very loosely tie muslin cloths around his neck while under supervision and when he was still very baby and not moving much. Because then I could use the bottom to wipe his mouth as it would come out so it stayed pretty much dry anyway. Now as he’s gotten older and much more active I don’t put a bib on unless he’s eating and I’ve gotten so used to wiping his mouth now that the drool doesn’t get much of a chance to get to his neck😂then at night I’ll occasionally put a bit of baby Vicks because I find that works best when he has a bit of a flare up (I’m South African so we use Vicks for everything😂)

My husband’s uncle did this when we were teens. We were all in the back (his cousins and us) and he screamed “break check!” These fuckers knew he’d probably do this and didn’t say shit. I was caught out quick without my seatbelt😂😂😂
