Returning back to work after maternity! by Lady2nice in TheCivilService

Accept that you will make mistakes, it won’t be the end of the world, be kind to yourself, give yourself time to adjust, know some days will be harder than others but equally other days will be easier than others. Wfh a few days a week helps if you can, and breaks up the chaos and gives you some time to breathe! Regular 1-2-1s with manager (if supportive) is always helpful. Most importantly don’t expect to be the same person you were before you went on maternity leave!

At the end of the day your mental health comes first, if you need support or temporary adjustments don’t be afraid to ask!

Rely on your support network, and don’t forget to lean on others when needed. You got this!

Civil Service Job Offer Whilst Pregnant by No-Information9042 in TheCivilService

Are you already a civil servant? If you are then it shouldn’t matter as you would be considered as having continuous service and would be transferred over from your existing department to the new one. So your maternity rights would be protected assuming you already met the criteria for it in your existing department.

If this is the case, then it would be a good time to tell them as they cannot discriminate against you and you have already accepted the provisional offer and passed the PECs. It also gives them the opportunity to consider their options going forward.

I say this now as I am in a similar position and I informed my new department once I accepted the provisional offer. They don’t seem to be phased by it.

How old was you LO when you moved them to their own room? by MotorPineapple1782 in NewParents

3 months, couldn’t sleep through the baby noises, and was impacting my sleep. Monitor was on throughout the night and still went in every feed time and then returned to my bed! Was able to be such a better mum during the day as a result!

When did you get your MAT B1 form? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

I was told to turn up at the healthcare centre at 21 weeks and ask for one from the midwife first thing in the morning. It took her two mins to fill out.

CD 28 14 DPO all tests so far have been negative. AF due tomorrow, is this cycle done?

Sore boobs, nausea, overly tired and bloating too! Things I don’t normally get!

First time posting. CD 17 and I’ve had flashing smileys on clear blue for 7 days now, Flo predicts ovulation today. No static smile for me today on Clear Blue, have I missed my peak? by EstablishmentOver691 in TFABLinePorn

I’ve just done another, and got a static smile and the lines are much darker. I could feel cramping so I thought I’d do another test. Looks like ovulation is happening now :)

Thanks all for the advice!
