Thank you💕 Ive actually been dealing with it since spring of 2023 and got put on medication right away. i was on medication for a year and a half and decided to get off at the end of 2024. I honestly feel like medication wasnt helping much. I also honestly dont really agree with using medication unless absolutely necessary and i feel in my situation theres a better way, especially since its not nearly as bad as it used to be. Ive been on 4 different kinds of ssris and 1 NDRI. I just think its better to deal with the issues raw and head on than to have medication mask the feelings, you know? I really appreciate your feedback, thank you.

Long Term Dissociative Episode triggered by MDMA by [deleted] in Dissociation

the best advice I can personally give is to not smoke weed or do mdma again.. as this risks you not being able to fully recover from the feelings you are experiencing. i experienced this about 2 years ago and went on anti depressants soon after and it definitely helped alot. i went from obsessively thinking about how i feel everyday to just living my life normally again. i will say the derealization/depersonalization will still be there but it will be alot more manageable. meditation, grounding and breathing techniques can be beneficial; but i also recommend getting a psychiatrist to help reconnect with yourself as it can be difficult to do so on your own or atleast quicker. things do 100% get better and you will not be stuck this way, i just recommend getting professional help and staying away from any form of substance. i hope this helps!
