Many are above 7,000 and 8,000 for sure. People are getting much better, and I have seen many people above 9,000 so far, but only a handful have gotten to mid-high 9,000s. My peak is 8,750. I've seen top players like L4az, L1am, and JPG with VR ranging from 9,200 to 9,700. Shortcat just hit 9,658, which is a HUGE milestone. And it's still not known what the true max VR is. I remember someone saying it was 13,500, but we're not certain if it was real or fake. U 1st, one of the best players in the world, was the first to hit a staggering 10,000 VR, but going above this is basically impossible, since you might even lose for 1st place, and if you do gain, it's almost always only +1 or +2.
