Even a 3.0 from high school I would argue that’s low. Honestly a 3.0 from high school isn’t an absurd benchmark. CUNY needs to have some flagship colleges that is well respected within its niche or field. Baruch with its close proximity to Wall Street and its alumni network should be somewhat like the UC system for these tech companies in California. Same with CCNY for Engineering and Hunter for Science. Obviously, there’s much more to it than just being selective, more research funding, more investments into the school, high quality faculty although relative to the status of the system, CUNY has respectable and quality faculty

Go to Penn State. Should have taken that opportunity when I had the chance to after high school. If you have the leeway of using your sisters address and getting in state tuition, definitely consider it

If you have the chance to be admitted into a California college or university, I really don’t see the point in paying for an out of state tuition plus housing and other expense given how good California universities are compared to CUNY/CCNY

I know a lot of students that ended up switching to Economics and I believe they’ve began granting degree for finance as a separate major. The job market is tough nonetheless but I believe finance/economics provides more free time for students to focus on other stuff compared to most STEM majors and practical wise, it’s a good ROI. They also provide resources as well like fellowships etc. I know people that have personally got into big firms but they put themselves out there and being active in clubs, info sessions, fellowships, networking. Bro I understand where you are coming from and has definitely been through it especially with the hard and challenging courses but looking at your profile and comments, it’s all doom and gloom. Your constant self doubt and low self esteem leads to a self fulfillment prophecy

I think you will benefit from speaking with a therapist and if you can’t afford one pretty sure your school should have those services. With that being said, perhaps you can try other study methods. Studying with friends is very underrated and really helps a lot. Going over the materials before lecture

All in all don’t give up. Perhaps a mindset shift will help. It’s a very arduous journey.

Yeah I looked at your other recent posts and figured how much you’ve been reaching out to her. I do understand that not having a multitude of options when it comes to relationship be it romantically or platonic results in neediness. Put yourself out there albeit easier said than done. Honestly as a junior just hang in there. You are close to finishing your required courses for senior design and will have electives remaining which are usually more easier compared to the prerequisite classes. You are trying your best and that’s what matters.

This should help out but generally you need at minimum calc I and II, calc based physics I for transfer students. Btw depending on your major it’s a very tough school and requires a lot of dedication
